Note that I've added an extra option here.

It's a win for a simple reason. We have got a dangerous running game. BJGE, Woodhead, Vereen and a power back at 225 lbs -- Ridley.

The PATS are going to run the ball.

I'm happy with day 2 except for Ridley.....just don't see the value. Would have rather seen Hankerson/Mallett....other than that.....happy with the entire draft and willing to give Ridley a wait & see.

Two RBs, one of which is somewhat of a reach given that a higher graded RB was still on the board. The other one might have gone undrafted.

We drafted another CB which is mind boggling. Wheatley, Wilhite, Butler, signed BOdden to a large contract, and now Dowling. IF we've invested as much resources into drafting a pass rusher who can pressure the QB and thus force them to make throws when they are under duress, then maybe we won't have to invest so much into drafting CBs.

I don't understand BB's insistence in defending the pass which he chooses to build starting with the secondary instead of starting with the front seven where pressure to the passer is more important in today's pass heavy league rules which handcuffs CBs.

Then to top it all off, we draft Ryan Mallet. WTF.

The RBs I think are a huge improvement over the production we got out of Faulk, Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris who are all over the hill.

I voted epic fail, this is a shocking awful draft. A 12 year old could have done better. Brutal.

You'll change your mind when you see the running game next year. Danny Woodhead is a great player but I question his durability due to his size and the hits he takes.

i agree with you.Every year we trade away picks for next year and then trade them
for another pick following year

Good poll question.

It does my heart good ~ and inspires considerable faith in my Yankee brethren ~ that the Fail/Epic Fail/WTF's are CRUSHING "Win" 17-4...with NO "Epic Wins."

My compliments, gentlemen.

Today's work was A BedSh*tting For The Ages.

Let there be no mistake.

Worst day in BB draft history. Not only did we not fill any primary needs, other that RB depth, we wasted picks and everyone else around us got better. This draft had so much potential and I don't think we improved much. I say this in all honesty, today I wish we had Charley Casserly drafting for the Patriots.

To be honest I have no idea what I think of Day 2 now. Like the the first 2 picks of the 2nd round and the trading into 2012 that said.

I'm somewhere between Meh & Win.

No help on the interior line or in the DL makes this really hard to be optimistic about. The players picked and trades made seem good enough, but the draft lacked direction.

Shockingly bad draft. Biggest need last 3 years goes unaddressed once again. Every year we have tons of picks and dont package them up and get ourselves a solid pash rusher. Very frustrating. And Vareen is really another 3rd down back how many of those do we need/boggle. Dont understand how we dont take leshoure or that Burner WR from Maryland to give us the deep threat we are sorely lacking.

I am so thrilled with this draft, we got my #1 want, a left tackle for the future, and we got the college QB who impressed me the most last year. When I saw Mallett play I was amazed how he looked like an NFL QB compared to these wannabes like Newton. I hoped somehow the Pats would get him but I never dreamed it would actually happen. Brady will be around for a few more years but I'm thrilled to have this kid learning the ropes in hopes of someday taking the reins. He's a stud!

I was disaapointed in Day One, when you think back that the Pats could have had Robert Quinn for a move up a few draft spots, maybe for that thrid round pick that they wasted on Mallett.

Solder I guess was a need, but a reach at #17, admit it. I had no problems with the trade down from #28 but lets not fool ourselves, we will be lucky if that pick is #28 next year, if not higher.

But tonight is an absolute EPCI FAIL!!

First off, why not trade #33, two QBs went right after the gaint reach for the made of glass Ras-I (bets on him being Ired before the end of training camp?). Another CB, seriously?? and he was the best pick of the night.

After that it just got silly, two giant reaches for RBs, and Mallett, a great talent that I really wound't have minded IF the Pats took care of business beforehand.

The Pats BIGGEST weakness ws their absolute lack of a pass rush, and they didn't even pretend to address this!

ANYBODY that tells you that the Pats are a better team today than they were 48 hours ago, is lying to you and themsleves. Ever other team in the NFL got better over the last two days, and the Pats are lucky if they say they are treading water.

I could not even imagine a worst draft that this one.

Now the Pats don't even have a 4th round pick, so anyone worth a toss will be gone by the time they pick again in the fifth round. They might as well draft a long snapper or four of them.

No one mentioned that we now have 2 #1's and 2 #2's next year? Yes, we will most likely trade out of the first and acquire more picks. I figured someone who is a number's person would talk up what BB is doing. It's really brilliant in what BB is doing. Some fans should stop whining about not getting a pass rusher or their sexy pick and look at the results.
How many SuperBowl players are still on this team from the dynasty? Yet, they have rebuilt and will not only be back to championship form, but we could be looking at another dynasty. Hey, rant and bad mouth me all you want but it's a high jump to the bandwagon after some of the posts the last two days. Anyone want to bet against the Patriots with BB not winning another Superbowl in the next three years? Or isn't that good enough for you?

Awesome. 2 #1's and 2 #2's. Which will be traded. Again.

Then you really dont understand how a two gap 3-4 front works. He did the exact right thing to get this system to work. The question you need to ask is if this system no longer fits in the NFL with the new rules. Does the team need to move on to a one gappin pressure D? If so, then the team needs to ****can BB yesterday.
