See, THIS is the sort of thing that compelled me to turn in my keys to the In Bill We Trust club.

Ryan Mallett, for God's sake.

Steven Ridley.

Coach Bill is the greatest in ALL the land, bar NONE.

But the man is clearly a LUNATIC.

Well, we take the bad with the good.

And the good...is magnificent.

But leave us never delude ourselves into believing that stupidity is the exclusive province of the stupid.

I'm right with you OTG. I like Vereen and Dowling, but we did almost nothing to help the team this year. Solder won't be ready to start. Dowling is definitely not starting. We got 2 rotational backs to add to our mix. Mallett won't even be active most games. We have not improved this team at all in the near term. With so many options at DE and OLB and such a big need to add to both positions, it's mindblowing that we ignored them.

I wont go that far. Dowling and Solder will be seeing some time this coming season and will be ready to go by next year. Mallet is insurance. You never know what can happen with Brady in the future. Mallet is supremely talented, no question about that, the value was there. I agree though, not going after a pass rusher is going to hurt. Unless Cunningham becomes a beast, its going to be rough.

Indeed, sir. It is UNFATHOMABLE.

And yet many guys ~ many of whom have high IQ's ~ are already busily twisting themselves into a pretzel, trying to find some means of rationalizing this Abomination.

Coach Bill Belichick has...no...peer.

But sometimes he just woofs an ENORMOUS hit off that Crack Pipe and hits PLAY.

FACE it, Belichick Apologists + Rationalizers: He's great ~ he's the BEST ~ but that doesn't mean he isn't a ****ing LUNATIC.

Ryan ****ing MALLETT, for the love of Christ.

Steven ****ing RIDLEY.

They should lock BB in the closet and let Floyd Reese handle the draft tomorrow. Every year we take a DB or two some of them "Fragile" with high round picks 2,3,4 half or more don't pan out. At the same time we use low round picks on the front seven of the defense, most of those don't pan out. For once can we reverse tht approach. I know its a passing league hence you need PASS RUSHERS TOO

What a SPHINCTER.

And I don't mean the pyloric kind.

If Ridley produces like he should next year (I MEAN HOW HARD IS IT TO BE A GOALINE BACK IN THE NFL) then everyone will be happy again :D

Mallet gives us a real option while Brady breaks down

People can complain, like myself, the Pats didn't address their biggest need in the draft. But free agency will pass at some point and will have the chance to fix it there.

If you want to complain about the draft though, you are really picking the wrong areas. Mallett is a great value pick and bringing in the two RB's means we've finally moved on from Morris and Taylor. two guys who have done nothing for two years. So yes, RIDLEY is an upgrade.

My biggest complaint is Ras.. A player who's had injury issues all his career.. No matter how much talent he has, if he's not on the filed, he can't contribue.

LOL. line of the night. i dont mind the Mallett pick, feel like we might be close to trading Hoyer in a year or 2. people like him.

WHAT THE F**K IS WITH THE RIDLEY PICK?? could have him in the 5th, Hankerson, Mason Foster. You go Ridley??

Imagine this draft and tell me which one you would rather have.

Solder
Ingram
Reed
Hankerson
Foster

thats what we passed up.

~ WB Jordan Cameron ~ HIDEOUSLY dangerous weapon!!

~ CB Curtis Marsh ~ #1 Corner Potential!!

~ DE Kenrick Ellis ~ Super Beast!!

~ TB Taiwan Jones ~ NIGHTMARE!!!

Honestly, what COULD that lunatic have been THINKING??

I don't care if we got Pat Peterson and Amukumara, if we can't pressure the passer then we can't cover them all night. I just shake my head every time I see a new team in the Pats draft spot and shake it even more as I watch the good players come off the board shortly after. This is the worst draft day ever, considering the number of picks we had, as I expected a lot more QUALITY. We sang the same tune last year, "yeah, we'll load up and move up to get whatever we need with all those picks". We'll be saying the same shet next year and wind up trading down as fkng always. Just boring. BB better sign or trade for an experienced pass rusher. You know how teams like to give those away.

Yeah he's nuts. This is much worse than the Burgess trade. At least with Burgess we were trying to fix the problem. Now we're just ignoring it.

BB seems to be happy with the draft:) We have a few holes to fill with FA an trades and we are seemingly set for awhile.

The Patriots didn't get knocked out of the playoffs because of the defense. They got knocked out because they couldn't run the ball.
