Wow, I never knew there were so many Brady haters here.

I have some very good friends whose taste I question. Doesn't mean I still don't like them and respect them, just that I think they have bad taste in a particular area. I happen to think that big houses that are out-sized for their lots are not aesthetically attractive. Some of the richest guys in the US have built McMansions on undersized lots in Westchester County, NY, and Southern CT. Doesn't mean I still don't think they're financial geniuses, just that I think they have bad taste in one area.

Same goes for TB. I respect him to the sky. Most importantly, I hold him up as a role model for my young kids. I love what he's done for the Pats and for us, their fans. I just don't like his judgment in putting up a house. Sorry, but that doesn't make me a Brady hater. If you think it does, the problem ain't mine.

That is a lot as it could take our entire life savings or our lifetime. To say the least.

My comments were directed at those who are going far beyond comments on Brady's taste in homes. "Giselle is Yoko" etc...etc......

And my comments were not directed at Brady. They were directed at the players' union for choosing Brady as their poster boy for their "we are exploited by the owners" campaign.

I am starting to think that Gis is not responsible with money. Not as bad as Mike Tyson or even Jamarcus Rusell but she is bad. Doesn't she understand that she is not going to be a cute young model forever nor is Tommy going to going play forever? Apparently not. What shape will they be in 10-20 years from now?

Boy, you sure do judge Tom and Gisele at every chance you get. Way to go?

My goodness don't you just reek of envy! As do the rest of you. Why should they have to live how you live to be considered 'normal'? Both partners have earned their own money, are spending it as they like, and are entitled to do so - lucky them, lucky kids. If you're going to gripe, gripe about capitalism. Don't use a comment on the children as a means of ostensibly sitting yourself on the moral high ground.

WELL SAID RIPLEY :D

Except that 80% of NFL players will never see the insides of a private jet, and half the NFL lives paycheck to paycheck as has been mentioned.
I think thats quite and exaggeration.
The minimum pay is about $300,000 which is in the top 1% of American incomes. (or was the cut off as recently as a couple of years ago).
Paycheck to paycheck even for the lowest paid player in the NFL would mean he spends about $14,000 per month after taxes. Thats far from the typical paycheck to paycheck of a single mom making $30,000 a year.

If you are drawing the line at 50%, I'm pretty sure you have crossed the $1,000,000 a year mark, where paycheck to paycheck spending is now about $50,000 a month.

Early on i pointed out that the house had very little land, it was just an observation, I said nothing else. I don't care how they spend their money, they're both good enough at what they do to earn that kind of money, they can spend it anyway they want. I think thats what most posters are saying, most don't begrudge them for what they make or the house their building, its just unusual to see a structure that big on such a small plot of land, thats all.

Fred, she makes 100 million a year, her building this house is like me building a $100,000 house, she has money for life and her kids lives and their kids lives.

Fred: also you are Felger or you are a prick.

Let us know which one at your conveneience.

Are you serious? The house is equal in value to less than one year of her gross income. My guess is that most home owners on this board can't say that.

In addition, since 2006 alone, Forbes has reported that she's earned a minimum of 25 million per year, with $35 million in at least one of those years. That's a total of between $130 and $140 million. I'm not a tax lawyer and don't know her residence status for paying taxes, but even if various governments took as much as 50 percent of that, it leaves her around $70 big ones, which she has no doubt grown by investing. Most of her travel is paid by her clients; in fact, I doubt she ever sets foot in a private plane on her own when it isn't paid for by someone else.
