We have a duplicate pick. Torrey Smith was selected @ 22. I will IM the GM

In the future, let's use the "search this thread" function before selections.

The last selection (Torrey Smith) was already selected in round 1 by Indy at #22.

I think it was that if a GM missed a pick anyone could make the pick as long as your weren't picking within the next 5 picks. But their were special rules if the team didn't have a GM like Washington.

There is really only one pick IMO for Washington and since I don't have a pick until #53 I can make it if everyone wants.

Take it. (msg too short)

if we fall behind schedule will we hold votes for picks then for GMs that pass their time limit? just wondering the policy for that contingency.

The rule:

"10. If the clock expires on a GM, the first MOCK GM to submit a pick for that team stands, but you cannot submit a pick for that team if your own selection is one of the proceeding five picks .. but if that GM is being replaced we will let the new/alternate GM start by submitting that pick .. if someone else "wants in" and the alternates are not available, we can give the team to that poster who "really" wants to participate for the remainder of the draft and not just to submit that pick"

Ok you got the Redskins

Bakes-
I'll do the 49ers. Washington, which is up next, is in the same division. Can you confirm these are their picks? Somehow I seem to have lost my folder w/ draft links...

2011 San Francisco
1 7 7 49ers Pick
2 13 45 49ers Pick
3 12 76 49ers Pick
4 11 TBD 49ers Pick
4 18 TBD From San Diego in draft day trade last year
5 10 TBD 49ers Pick
6 9 TBD 49ers Pick
6 25 TBD From Seattle for Kentwan Balmer
7 8 TBD 49ers pick
7 30 TBD From Detroit for Shaun Hill (Jets originally)

looks to be right you got the 49ers

Ok you got the Redskins
[/B]

If no one steps up for the Skins by the time they pick I will make it since the Jets don't have a pick in round 2. That will give us until round 5 ro find a gm for the Skins since they don't have picks in 3 & 4.

Also it may be a little early but you may wish to consider a sticky thread for players selected since the OP doesn't have that info. Then update it at the end of every day or however often you think so people don't start double picking.

Just click the "search this thread" pull down in the right upper corner and enter the players last name. It will tell you if he has been mentioned. That is why we separate the selections thread from the comments.

I probably could of gotten better value if I went with OLB, but I decided to go with a more valuable position at OT. Ben Ijalana was a steady performer in college which is what the Cardinals need at OT after the ups and downs of Levi Brown. He also might be able to play OG.

People do seem to be going Need and reaching for guys than going BPA.

The only truly questionable pick IMO is Corey Liuget to the Bills. They already had Kyle Williams a pro bowl NT and selected DT Torell Troup in the 2nd round in 2010 (Pick 41), having already added Nick Fairley in the 1st round to add a 4th DT in the 2nd Round seems a little redundant.

Buffalo is playing the 3-4. In that situation, Fairley and Liuget would be the DEs, not behind Williams. The only question would be where does Alex Carrington fit in now. Though, the three of them would make a helluva rotation.

picking for the bills, im not concerned with the DL depth. i think liuget and fairley will be darn good. my concern is if liuget is long enough to play End in the 3-4

You guys are moving fast today. I will not hold things up and have my pick up within the next 10 min.

As you can see, there was a whoooole lot of trading going on. I wish I could post a link to the threads, because there are write ups and explainations for each pick. But I dont have enough posts, to post a link :( .....So, your thoughts? :D

So Pats come away with:
Wilkerson, Reed, Watkins, Ijalana, Jenkins, and Vareen? I'd say the Pats mock GM did a great job. Has he been reading our minds or perhaps this forum? ^_^

LOL, I'll make sure to tell him. We hate him right now because he is taking all the picks we like (which is realistic).

To be honest, I could have waited longer to make my pick, but had been messaged twice saying it was my pick.

So, after checking the list twice on my phone, I made my pick.

When it next rolls around to me, if i'm out at work and have hours to make my pick, next time i'll wait and check properly and delay the draft longer then.

If it came out snarky, I apologize. Definitely something to keep in mind when we get to the later rounds

We can also tell him as he has been in contact with the board. Here is the thread:

He took Jalil Brown against my advise, but that's okay, it's not my draft... Nothing against Jalil Brown. I think he can be a solid player. I just don't think he'll ever be more than a nickel back if he was drafted by the Pats.

lol, I knew Zard was getting some inside info! lol, Im gonna get him.

The Vikings need a QB, and I picked my QB binky (for any team needing one, obviously not us) Andy Dalton.

This kid isn't big (6'2), he isn't fast, he doesn't have a cannon arm, but he has what you need in an NFL QB; accuracy, leadership, pocket presence, poise, and he's a winner. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the best QB from this class later down the road.

I like the Dalton pick. If Houston hadn't mysteriously fallen to 41 Dalton would have been a Redskin.
