The dominant, killer instinct road team, or the flat, boring (thus far) home team? I'm thinking a switch has been turned on and we are going to see the dominant team for the rest of the season. I mean, come on, the karma has to be going our way. Think about it, we've resigned Ken Walter, and not Adam Vinatieri!! It's time for the pundits to start shaking their heads and asking, "How do they do it?"

GO PATRIOTS!!!

The bad news is that this team still has something to prove...

... because that's when the Patriots are at their best.

Even as late as mid season the team remains very inconsistent though - and while some fans don't want to admit it, it is concerning to me. Add to that the fact that they haven't yet beaten a team with a winning record and that puts the ball in the Patriots court so to speak to show everyone what they are made of.

if I am BB, I'd want to win/lose just enough for us to get the wild card spot so we can be on the road the entire freaking playoff :rocker: This team is absolutely unstoppable on the road.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. What I mean by that is the Patriots lost to 3 teams (Broncos, Colts & Jets) that are extremely familiar with what they do and want to do. The Bears and all the other teams for the most part are not as familiar thus will struggle against the Patriots schemes on offense and defense. I won't be surprised if the Patriots beat the Bears soundly this sunday.

I'd settle for the ball-control grind it out offensive, stiffling defensive team we used to see with a 9 to 3 win this Sunday.

Agreed. The Bears pass defense is very, very good. However, their run defense is similar to the Packers (actually a little worse) so they should be able to run on the Bears.

Brady and the receivers must not give up stupid interceptions. Keep the game close and let the Bears make the mistake.

Relax, its after mid November, the Pats are 7-3, up by two in the division and, well, its after mid November! Training camp is over and now the team is going to start to game plan the opposition every week. Look for a great game and convincing win tomorrow.

I am really hoping for this. The last two losses in a row at home were really a bummer. Hopefully we are true to form and come away with a win tomorrow. I think the key is confusing Grossman. He can be made to look very muddled out there and who better to scheme it than BB? He (and probably the rest of the team) must have watched that Miami (and maybe the first 1/2 of the Arizona) game a hundred times.

I thought their D was good all around. Who has been able to run on them? Miami?

* The Bears give up 4.1 yards per carry. Being 9-1 most teams are playing catchup most games so they don't run as much as they might otherwise.
I don't think there's any way to know ahead of time how "pumped and jacked" a team will be for a game. Hey, I'm watching the USC/Irish game -:)
You can list all the stats and records available and see on paper who should win, but if your team comes out flat and isn't as physical as the other team they'll lose. That's why they play the game.

Agreed on all points. It seems like the other NFC teams had never seen a spread offense before. I would use the Jacksonville game as a better gauge of whether we've "arrived".

What I want to see tomorrow is a reprise of this cartoon. :D

But I'll settle for this one, too. :)

[Truth be told, though, I'd really like a reprise of the 'Pats skin Jags' cartoon, but I can't find that one. . . .]
