AFC Championship Game: Jets at Steelers

And that is a big-time gamble IMO. Had the Patriots taken what the defense gave them and played smash-mouth football with the running game, it could have turned the tables in their favor. The Jets guessed that the Patriots would not take the bait, and it was the right guess. But to say that they were willing to let the Patriots run is not entirely factual.

You're forgetting that the Jets could change the play call at will. do you think they are required to play the same defense all the way down the field until BJGE can poke it in?

Not trying to be a wise guy here, but it's a gamble. They could just as easily go all out to stuff the run on any play, if they thought that was our game plan.

As I mentioned with Dillon in another post, there are running backs that can kill even stacked defenses. Dillons 278 yard game used to be on youtube. That's a runner that couldn't be stopped once he got a rhythm. I sincerely don't believe BJ is anywhere close to that in athletic ability, drive or any other way, which is why I don't think Ryan would let him get started, if indeed we decided to try to run every other play or something.

If he did, Ryan, or actually the LB, would change the defense. It's really as simple as that.

Tomlinson is putting on a clinic on how to choke, here.

Hahahahah tomlinson hahahahha

hampton blew up that play.

If the Jets thought the Patriots could run the ball down their throats, they wouldn't have made such a decision. That's not what the Patriots running game is. That's why RB needs to be a top 5 priority.

You seemingly have an uncanny clairvoyance into the Jets decision-making process. Impressive.

I would like to thank the Jets for not giving Greene the ball. Keep running LT with that fork stuck in him.

How are the Steelers winning this game?

It isn't that bad though. The Jets still need two TDs with not a lot time left. Granted if the Steelers keep on giving the game away, they might have plenty of time.

Question of the season.

Roethlisberger having a nightmare game.

That's what audibles are for.

why the hell did the ref call forward progress there? Kinda screwed the Jets, not that I'm complaining.

It's not exactly difficult to fathom the Jets plan in hindsight. It's not as if they somehow kept it hidden on the field.

One has to wonder why the Jets waited until now to go no huddle. They've wasted alot of time

Game is over. Jets lose.

Is Shonn Greene on the sideline shaking his head in disgust?

wtf is LT doing? I know that he is a choker but its insane, dont tackel yourself

Wiped out by the pick. Nice play.

This is New York's game. Bank on it.
