SMY, via twitter: shalisemyoung just watched the FoxSports video, tough to find anything damning from that angle/distance. interesting it would just magically appear today

Excellent tweet, smy. I find the timing verrrrry interesting.

The motive is obvious, but what they are using as proof is an absolute pathetic JOKE in my opinion.

What exactly happened between BB and King?

I've never liked King anyway. He's being fazed out on NBC by Florio so he might not get any TV time anymore. Good riddance.

King wanted the apology exclusive (that is my speculation), BB didn't give it to him (fact), King acted like BB's apology wasn't good enough and bashed him every single week in MMQB (fact). I guess he thought BB would cave or something. Idiot.

Thanks for the explanation. BTW who got the apology exclusive with BB? I remember Mr Kraft went on NBC in their studio to talk about it.

The exclusive thing is just my speculation. However, he did say how him and BB were close up until Spygate a few months ago, so I imagine I am not too far off.

I don't remember, alot of that is fuzzy to me. I wasn't a member of this site and didn't read PFT regularly, so I wasn't so plugged in back then.

I don't think it had anything to do with an apology. If i remember right King thought that Belichick would give him exclusive insight into the whole thing from BB's perspective. Belichick blew him off, and thats when King started his crusade.

Unlike a mediot, I acknowledge what I said could be wrong. What you said could be closer to the truth than my statement.

Re: Jay Glazier Tape (merged)

I can totally see where they're coming from. There's no reason for players who are about to take the field to be standing on the sidelines, ready to enter the game.

Stunned by King's response. Seriously? SMY, Rapoport and Bedard all indicate this doesn't pass the smell test — and Boston media are hardly prone to homerism.

I wasn't saying your wrong, you could be right. I remember sitting in my car stuck in traffic and listening to the big show while they went over it the day it broke. Maybe it had to do with and apology, but what ever it was King thought he was so important that BB should give him exclusive insight to his side of the story.

I know you didn't; I am just saying I could be. What you said actually makes more sense, since when he apoligized it was during the SD press conference (if I recall correctly).

They just showed it on CBS. He definitely tried to trip. He tried to be subtle by moving back, but there's no way an objective person could say he didn't try to trip.

Casserly showed a different view of this-- Hate to say it, but that looks legit. It was a weak attempt at a trip, but an attempt nonetheless. Crimmany.

CBS has much better tape, which makes the "trip" a little bit more probable but still not unequivocal, as far as I can tell. But Casserly doesn't think that the league will care about the Pats in general since it was the O-line. The individual player, on the other hand, may be another question.

Yeah, Wendell definitely tried to get in his way.

Wendell certainly didn't try very hard and he didn't touch him so the league shouldn't care, but this is Goodell and it is the Patriots.

Look this is different then the Jets thing and I really have little trouble with it. They are allowed to be there, the Jets player inactives were not. Wendell was trying to hit him in some way but pretty much stayed off the white area which is where he can be. This was overblown as usual in the first place. My biggest issue all along was that this was a COACH doing it. Fine us! whatever!, I really don't care.

I dont see that. I see a 300lb guy making a not so athletic attempt to get out of the way.
