....go 3 wide, and I mean wide. Tate wide left, Welker and Branch wide right. Hernandez on the line, Woodhead in the backfield, Brady under center. I send Hernandez in motion out towards Tate , who is hugging the sideline. Brady will be able to read if a LB sticks to Hernandez or a S drops into Hernandez' space. So the Patriots are now 4 (very)wide with a read on coverage. I expect Revis and Cromartie to be bunched up on Welker and Branch far right.
The strategy....I'm sending Tate deep down the left sideline, I'm sending whoever is NOT being covered by Revis deep down the right sideline. Revis will play man without help, probably on Welker, who will work a short route that keeps the center of the field clear. Hernandez I have working a mid crossing route into a wide open center of the field...he is the key. Cover him with a safety, and at least one deep threat WR should have single CB coverage with no S help. Cover Hernandez with a LB and there is a mismatch that may need S help.
The snap...Having read how the Jets deal with the TE, Brady makes the call....draw play or play action. I like Woodhead's chances now. The Jets have to be focused on the 4 WRs with 4 DBs and 2 Safeties or 3DBs, 2 Safeties and a LB covering Hernandez. Woodhead now has opportunities vs a cleared out center of the field. Draw play with only 1 LB left at the line, screen pass on a blitz, blitz pick up giving Brady time to find 1 on 1 coverage or a mismatch. If the Jets play zone, mistakes will get made and a WR will be uncovered.
Woodhead is the X factor here...he is just too dam quick for a LB, running or catching.
The Jets may pull a DL at this point, replacing with another LB...which in turn gives Brady better run play opportunites in this scheme. I would also expect the Jets to give Woodhead the Marshall Faulk treatment , pounding him the backfield if he tries to release.
If the Patriots have any success running in this game, play action (freezing the Safeties) in this formation will give Brady some deep options that have not be utilized since Moss left...hit 'em where they least expect it.

...call this game like I was playing Tecmo Superbowl. (Be Agressive and score 72 points)

Resign and let Billy O'Brien take over. He has been outstanding this year with his playcalling, gameplans and adjustments.

It helps that TB has had a great season, but BOB has been very good as well.

I think the Patriots main advantage lies in a 3 TE package. That gives them the flexibility to use the power run game or use 3-5 receivers with the TEs and the RB.

I agree. The 2 or 3 tight end sets have been awesome for us this year. Since the d cant key run or pass like last year.

Bait the Jets with a 3 TE one WR set then go no huddle in order to deny the Jets substitutions early on.

Top priority is to get a lead in order to make the Jets press and make suckchez panic.

This! I have been dreaming this all day. With Woodhead in the back field, we can go power run or 5 wide.

What about Gronkowski? I think the Pats can create huge mismatches in the middle of the Jets defense with our tight ends.

Send Dan Connolly out on a fly pattern. We know he's got the skills to gain some serious YAC.
