......"This guy threw 50 touchdown passes in one year. He won three Super Bowls. Was he embarrassing to people when he was excited because he won? You don't know what he's talking about because you've never won. So don't tell me how he thinks. You don't know. Acknowledge that. That's not my opinion, that's fact."

Jack Nicholson couldn't even top that.

You better do it now. Ganggreen actually locks their board so you cant even read it unless you have an account ( I created one years ago for this reason)

I was going to suggest the same thing. I have had a JI account for years. I don't even post (I think I actually have 2 or 3 where I've voted in a poll in the Pats favor on something) - it is worth it just to be able to go over there and read the posts, both before a big game and after a big loss. Priceless.

Wow. That was a great listen. Thanks for the heads up, ol Reggie came across very well.

How old is Reggie now?

Seems like hes lived forever,I remember him killing my beloved Reds so many times.

64. I remember reading his biography written when he was on the A's. The man's got game and he wasn't afraid to tell it like it is.

Mr October setting things straight. Epic statements from Reggie Jackson!

Screw him. I don't want his defense. I remember him vividly being a locker room cancer on every team he ever played on. Like he is one to talk about Cromartie when he was one of the biggest jackasses in all of baseball.

But in the grand scheme of things he is right. But a hiprocrit.

this is a long week. i expect spike lee and ben affleck to yap tommorow....just play already...

Agreed. This week is DRAGGING along, haha and yeah I'm sure spike lee will give his 2cents at some point.

He's not necessarily a hypocrite. Yes, Reggie was a jerk and a team cancer but people change as they mature. Someone at 64 is not the same person they were at 25.

I tried to do that when the Pats won last time, but they block new accounts right after bad losses. They have no balls.

Anyway, good stuff by Reggie. Too bad Cromartie is illiterate and probably won't be able to read any of it.

Ummmmm...then sign up NOW dude!

2 World Series MVPs kinda trumps all of that, IMO. When you're arguably the best postseason player in the history of your sport, you can do whatever the hell you want in the locker room.

Kinda embarrasing, to be called out by Reggie Jackson. Jackson knew how to win. The Jets don't.

When you think about it,it's Mr. October defending Mr. February :)

Given the way the Jets seasons have progressed in recent history, that would be baseball's Mr. October attacking football's Mr. October.

Awww...this was the best part! I just love it! Great stuff!

Reggie Jackson is not alone with his thoughts about Cromartie.

Ex-Pat Klecko, Reggie Jackson join anti-Jet chorus
CSNNE.com's Tom E. Curran reported Thursday that former Patriot Dan Klecko sent him a text message -- "out of the blue" -- that he described thusly:

"Could you please make some mention," Curran related Klecko saying, "at some point, about the ridiculousness of the Jets' talking trash and showing a lack of respect toward the Patriots? It's driving me crazy."

(And the ironic thing? Klecko's father, Joe, was an all-time great for the Jets. He played for New York from 1977-87, is a member of the team's Ring of Honor -- in fact, he was in the inaugural class -- and his jersey number [73] was retired by the team.)

Dan Klecko played for the Pats from 2003-05, winning two championships, but also won a Super Bowl ring with the Colts in 2006 and later played for the Eagles; he's not, as Curran pointed out, "a dyed-in-the-wool Patriot." This led Curran to conclude:

"[If] Dan Klecko is irritated about this, that shows how irritated the Patriots must be . . . [Inside] that locker room, and definitely inside that organization, the Patriots have had more than enough of the New York Jets. And if they get a chance to, they'll put their foot on their neck come Sunday."

Schefter on D&C: NFL should fine Cromartie
"I talked with the league yesterday and tried to see if they had any interest in those comments, and the league wasn’t biting at all," Schefter said. "We’ll talk about this in our pregame show, but I went and looked at the NFL’s personal conduct policy and it reads, and I’ll read it word for word, 'Discipline may be imposed in any of the following circumstances,' and there’s a list, and there’s one that said, 'Conduct that undermines or puts at risk the integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs or NFL players.' "

Schefter went on to say that it would seem to him that Cromartie’s comments fall under that clause. He said that although the remarks did not bother him personally, he would fine Cromartie if he were the commissioner because Roger Goodell has made a habit of going by the letter of the law. "When you call somebody a seven-letter word that begins with an ‘A’ and speak in the way you did, it just doesn’t reflect positively on anybody," Schefter said.

"

If that's the rule then Suggs violated the rule making statements that Brady's rings were questionable because the Patriots cheated by filming opponents walk throughs and practices. They did not do this and such statements are prima facie attacks on the reputation of an NFL club.

Goodell's league office ignoring this repeated WWF style conduct that clearly violates stated policy just shows how corrupt and in the tank for the anti-Patriots crowd he is.
