My understanding was that Caldwell assumed that they'd go for the FG and not attempt a long pass or a run. Obviously, he grossly miscalculated.

WOW.

Um, that was a 51 yarder with 30 seconds remaining.

WOW.

Caldwell is so in over his head it's not even funny. I thought Peyton Manning would jump his throat after his "what the f*** is this moron doing???" face when he called the timeout.

I was pretty tired last night at the end of the game and didn't have the energy to figure out why the Colts called timeout.

But does anyone have a reason?

Also, Schottenheimer made a horrific call on 3rd and 5 when the Jets got the ball after that phony running into the kicker penalty. A bomb? Are you kidding me?

I was actually hoping the Jets would win because I'd rather see them than the Ravens. The Ravens would leave the Patriots bruised for the Steelers matchup. and, that's precisely why I want to see the Ravens win today, so that the Steelers and Ravens can go at it in a slugfest.

Agree 100% about the Ravens. A Chiefs win gives the Steelers a soft game next week. Want a Ravens/Steelers game next week so them can beat each other up. Also agree about that 3 and 5 call. Sanchez was off all game so let's throw a bomb. Last nights Jets/Colt game was as ugly as it gets.
Poor coaching, poor playcalling, poor execution, bad penalties.....

These guys talk so much trash...
I am ACTUALLY friends with a few Jets fans (I know, but they are actually fairly decent guys)
Anyways, They are pretty level headed when it comes to football and even recognize us as a superior team...
We were talking about the ASS KICKING we put on them a few weeks ago and they brought up some very interesting point...

They were talking something about that dude Leonard they lost 2 days before they played us. I was surprised, because they were VERY confident they would beat us, but when they found out they lost this guy they immediately changed their tune.
They were calling him the "QB of the defense" and talking about how THAT dude was responsible for calling all these blitzes on the field and changing coverage assignments, etc... One of them ACTUALLY said he could be MORE important than REVIS! I don't know about all that.... But they were also talking about how he was supposedly "going to be the biggest part of the gameplan" and "Brady was gonna have no idea what's coming to him" all this was before he was injured...
I thought it was just odd how BOTH of these guys did a COMPLETE 180 as soon as they found out he was gone, and had no clue how their defense would even be able to function without him. I just thought they were crazy, mainly because they are Jets fans, but these guys know their stuff. They were actually praising a lot of our defensive guys before most of us even knew who they were and many were calling busts!

So today they are talking about this other guy and how they "Can't wait for the rematch" and all this crap...
These guys HONESTLY think they are gonna "destroy us and embarrass us worse than the Ravens did last playoffs" and they are "SO GLAD they get to be the ones to knock the Pats out and ruin our home streak"

They attribute this to the emergence of some guy named Dwight Lowery. If these guys didn't know as much as they did I really wouldn't worry, I've never even heard of that guy, personally. They say he was a CB and they moved him to Safety after our demolishing of them... And they changed him to Safety because they couldn't find anyone that was familiar to their system.
Supposedly this guy is "finally the ballhawking Safety that they have been looking for" and the "key to Rex Ryan's Pandora's Box" Supposedly he's shocked the whole team with how he's stepped up and energised the entire team. I know he has a few INT's

They made some upgrades on the Defense, but they really haven't gotten it together for whatever reason. But this guy seems for them, to be the key.
It's very strange how confident they are now, it's making me a little worried about having to play them. I just don't know, guys... Something doesn't feel right about this. Does anyone even know about this Lowery guy anyways?
I know they beat the crap out of Buffalo the last game and these guys are swearing the defense FINALLY got it together and they are "right where they wanna be if not better"
These guys even said they'd rather be the Wild Card and don't wan't the bye because they are BETTER on the road and they suck after long breaks.

The thing that scares me is that Bill won't have any tape on this "New Defense of theirs" to study except for the Indy game.
They also swear they are saving a bunch of "Special plays" the team has dubbed "The Brady Book" and that Tom and Bill will have no idea what's going on, and Hoyer had better be ready to step in.

These guys NEVER talk trash like this. It's really concerning. I really hope we're not looking past them and thinking they will be an automatic win after we beat them so bad... I still have faith in Gronk, obviously, but I just hope Brady has enough time to get the ball to him! Not only that, but this guy is supposedly racking up INT's and forcing fumbles ever since they moved him to Safety.

I REALLY think we should be careful with this Jets team... Nobody thought they would do ANYTHING last year and they get within 30 min of the Superbowl, ALL ON THE ROAD! I'm really starting to think that we may have our hands full with the Jets!
What do you guys think?

Dwight Lowery? That's the harbinger of Patriots doom?

I'm really not going to be able to handle the forums this week.

Ditto. As much as I'm looking forward to next Sunday's game against the Jets, it's precisely this reason, between the mediots and the hordes of the most delusional and dumbest fans on the face of the planet that I was actually rooting for the Colts last night.

EXACTLY. It's not that I'm nervous to play the them, but I just wanted to avoid the drama from the media and having to deal with Jet fans.

Be scared?:confused::confused::eek::eek::eek::eek: really?

BB once talked about a team, can't remember which one, but he said
their offense didn't change much from week to week. They just said
this is who we are, this is how we pass and run. Now stop us if you can.
He seemed envious of that team. Now he's got one like it.

"J E T S . this is who we are
... Now stop us if you can."

They can't!

What is there to be scared of? All the talk and BS they and their fans will
dish out? Maybe that's the biggest thing to be scared of.
Hint to save your sanity ... don't listen and tune in next Sunday at 4:30!

Don't understand the need to repost fanboy drivel from jets fans on this board incessantly. Do you think the rest of us don't know how to go read this drivel if we want to? Like I said in the other thread, trolls aren't a problem here...members addicted to trolling in enemy territory are...

This is the second time you've done this to me (put me in a group of repeat "offenders") after I've done something for the first time. This time you've upped your game by assigning me a mental health problem.

Was Lowery in for the first time yesterday? If so then how do these fans know what a difference maker he is. If it wasn't then how will the Pats have no film on him?

The Pats are on mission too ya know. They aren't last years Pats who didn't seem to be on any kind of a mission....not like this one anyway

Apparently, 43 games isn't enough for BB to get tape on a guy.

Jet fan. Rex is bi curious.

Your friends are getting ahead of themselves. I'm sure Ryan has some surprises planned for the Pats, but BB has had weeks to prepare for this game. We will show the Jets team and staff things they are completely unprepared for also.

No, Lowery is not that good. Their defense will not be as bad as it was on MNF because they lost Leonhard only two days prior. But with Lowery at safety the jets gave up 38 to the Bears.

This game will not be a blowout. If our D puts Sanchez in passing situations, we can stop them from scoring like MNF. Sanchez can't beat us. The run game can, however. Rex Ryan WILL commit to the run throughout this game, and if we let them run all over us it will be a long night.

Now I'm confused. Please, please tell me that you didn't read the original post as serious.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Yes, I'm sure Bill and Tom already had their first sleepless night with more to come there!! :bricks:

Yeah, I agree. I mean, in that post, the hyperbole those two Jets fans heaped upon Lowery made it seem like he was the second coming of Ed Reed. Seems like a lot of hot air, especially considering that the Bears rolled up 38 points on the Dwight Lowery-led Jets defense.

I remember reading the same sorts of posting from Jets fans the last time they came to Foxboro. They were floating all sorts of fanciful notions. I don't expect the same score but I expect it will be the same result with a loud and proud Gillette Stadium rocking the Jets audibles.

Man, your so nervous about this you posted the exact same thing in 2 threads? After reading it, the only thing that came to mind is...

:yawn2:

Enemy territory???

Relax, it's not World War II.

Anyhow, enjoy it - - next Sunday will be the sports equivalent of a mercy killing.

BillPower...you sound like a concern troll.

Billpower, be prepared to listen to more of this.

and it will do you good by not pointing out that that irrespective of how their D got crippled in the last game, their O managed to produce just three points. I mean, why let facts in the way of sad fans unable to control their excitement.

No doubt the Jets are better than what they were in Nov. I think that the game will not be a blowout like the previous time but still think that we should win by 10 pts.

PS: I now hope the bspn and other media heads like Faulk revise their prediction and label the Jesters as the SB champion. :)
