The Achilles Heal of the Pats D has been a great QB. With Manning eliminated and Brees eliminated there is only one true QB threat and that is Aaron Rodgers.

Sure we won against Indy but it was very close and they are who I considered the biggest threat in the AFC with the Ravens a close second.(Lets go KC!)

This really improves the Pats chances throughout the Postseason.

We have had some difficult times against pedestrian quarterbacks too....but i'm glad we have Brady and the Jets have Sanchez

true, but let's not go overboard. we did let matt flynn walk all over us. : )

but u are right - the pats have had some close games against elite offenses this year and our offense has had to bail us out almost every time. both philly and GB have elite offenses and one of them will be eliminated today. baltimore is the other one that has a good offense.

Agree with your overall point re: Pats are vunerable to high octane passing games but don't discount Ben Rothliesberger. He's a total loser off the field but man he is tough and clutch on the field.

Manning scares the crap out of me and I'm happy to be able to forget about him for 12 months. Even though his team could only manage 14 points, he still amazed me with his LOS reads. That was a great game last night and the announcers did a great job of explaining the reads Manning was seeing and the resulting play changes. It's all about the safety positioning. But Manning blew it with his run calls before that 1st FG in the 4th. Great great game

pittsburgh doesnt scare me in the least.... i'm honestly more afraid of kc... which isnt saying much although i think alot of ppl underestimate them against the pats... lot of pat knowledge on that sideline

2010 QB ratings:

10. Peyton
12. Brees

Steelers consistently look predictable against the patriots, Ben scares girls not patriots, only 5 picks this season 1 against us of course. They beat 1 play off team Ravens 13-10 and lost to 3 Pats, Saints, Jets the rest of they're schedule were bottom feeders i'm pretty sure. arm Pits vs Pats AFCCG!!!

Much as it pains me to say this, what about Vick?

I think vick is a very good qb and dangerous but I do not think he is elite. Same goes for Matt Ryan. Jmo though

Matt Ryan doesn't have Vick's numbers this season. Vick may not be an elite QB season over season, but he has definitely been impersonating one this season with that 100.2 QB rating, ranked 4th - above these other 2.

IMO being Elite is not just posting great numbers but being able to dictate what you are going to do to the defense. There are only a few that can break down a defense at the line of scrimmage. Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers. Vick is able to escape and that is what causes receivers to free up but when you rush him he loses that edge whereas the other 4 take advantage and set their protection because they see the play before the ball is snapped. Again ... just my opinion. I do not want to face Vick either. I would be very happy playing the Seahawks or Bears if we make it to the Superbowl

Hasslebeck and Sanchez in,

Brees and Manning out. LOL

First, I didnt realize Mark Sanchez and Colt McCoy were elite QBs. Wouldn't we have had to lose at least a game to an elite QB for it to be our Achilles Heel.
Second, the entire Rodgers family thanks you for including him and his zero career playoffs wins in the elite category.

If Cris Collinsworth can see, understand and explain Mannings decision making how can it be impressive? He was reading where players were. Wow. Impressive

Maybe not "elite," but in terms of qualities that allow you to match up with the Patriots, Flacco has them. In fact, he's the QB that scares me most left in the playoffs.

Brady's no pick streak overshadows it, but since week 3, Flacco has only 4 picks. I think that's about the same as Brady. He makes good low-risk passes for first downs, and if it's not there he avoids the mistake and turns it over to the defense.

It's looking ahead, but if we get past the Jets, I'd rather see the Steelers.

I tend to agree with the original post, in that I really did not want to face either Manning or Breeze. An elite back doesn't bother me like a gunslinger. If Rogers falls next I will not be disapointed. Big Ben is up there, but his team isn't. Ryan is next on my list. The stats may say Vick is better this year, but I'll take BB figuring out Vick over Ryan. Ok, Ok, I want to see us face Cutler. Amen.

I consider Green Bay one of the toughest potential match ups against an NFC team in February, but I have a hard time calling anyone "elite" before they win a playoff game. Perhaps he takes that first step today and lets the dogs out against the Iggles.

Raplessburger and FLacco are pretty good, pretty elite, IMO.

wacko flacco wasn't missing anything today. Hitting receivers in stride all game...was it a lack of pressure or what?

Rapist is very good, very tough, very strong arm. Not sure if we can stop him...2nd half of the steelers game he was lights out. Might win anyway, but those guys are good.

Hopefully their game will go to 3 OT and they will be broken it will be an easy game.

Flacco has the worst pocket presence of any top-15 QB. If we can get a little pressure on him, he is done. Just don't do what the Chiefs did and leave the middle of the field (especially shallow crosses) wide open, and we'll be fine.
