Any given Sunday.

The Seahawks beat the Saints. Who would have thought that was going to happen.

Our fans better be loud next week.

Actually, it's not the key to victory - the Pats can still win that kind of game (see: Packers). It's the key to whether I am on the couch having a beer or on the floor having a coronary in the third quarter.

Me, I like beer - score early and often, please, Pats.

I like beer too! I would love all of the Pats playoffs games (everybody ok with 3 games to play? :)) to be the Pats winning big each time. I'll speak for myself when I say that my nerves intensify when it's a playoff game.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Pats will take care of business next sunday (feels like it'll take FOREVER for the game to get here).

LOL, good one. Stopping the opposition's run game is also the key to my remote control remaining un-crushed.

Anything can happen. The Colt run D was awful and they were, in all probability, one catch-able ball away from winning that game. The Patriots can win if their run D plays poorly. However, if they play poorly against the run then the outcome is extremely in doubt. If, on the other hand, the Patriots make them 1 dimensional from the get go, the outcome will, most likely, be on par with the last 7 games we have played (versus on par with the GB game).

I think the shot of Bill here should have him holding a football?

Screwball photoshop idea:
Indiana (*) and the Temple of Doom.
Easter island style giant figure, absurdly large forehead, sad Manning face.
Jets Lovely Rex, Sanchez eating a cheeseburger, Antonio “Octodad” Cromartie (Thanks ital44), the Lovely Mrs Rex,
others, ride in astride a big lego plane, smoking/in flames.
The plane is about to crash into the giant Temple statue.
They are all absurdly, deliriously grinning and waving foot shaped signs, or big middle finger hand signs.
Both.

From Vonnegut's * representation of the business end of a backside, IIRC?

Re: The Jets coming to foxboro

Besides KC (who I do not think will beat the Ravens), I wanted the Jets. Not only to be the ones to end their dreadful season, but because they aren't that good offensively. I think that if they play like they did today...... BJGE has 200 yds next week.

How does the Jets performance tonight equatr to 200 yards for BJGE? Sanches was terrible. The Jets D was stout. I have no idea how you watch that game and think that would mean a good rushing performance for your guy.

I will tell you this. If Sanchez plays the same way next week, the Jets have no chance at all. Sanchez needs to improve. If the Jets D plays as well as they did tonight, and Sanchez plays better, it should be a decent game.

Holy rat crap crazy Batman, after the game, listen to the Lovely Rex from Reiss)

"Right now I'm just going to focus on the Colts," he said in his post-game press conference. "I think we've earned about 12 hours of enjoying this victory. This is a great football team. We beat them at their place, beat Peyton Manning at their place. I don't know if that's been done a whole heck of a lot. I know it hasn't been done by a team that I've been on, so I'm just going to focus on the Colts right now."
____________
Heh, now after the game, he doesn't want to think about the pats?!!?
In his head, boys and girls, fans and fools.
Pwnd, ownd, BB selling off the real estate.

Ya think, "Brady thinks he does", struck a nerve?
Heh.

Gawd this is fun.
Thank the good lord for Mr Kraft.
Thank you sir.
now all you have to do is convince your
peers a lockout is a very bad idea.
Godspeed to you.

Re: Survey says . . .

We own the Jets.

you do realize the series is 2-2 in the Ryan/Sanchez era? I wouldn't exactly call that owning a team. Looks more like a split to me.

Mark may be over his head?

2006 season Sanchez played in 6 games completing 3 of 7 passes for 63 yards and 1 interception.

2007 Sanchez started three games, primary backup to senior John David Booty

2008 started 13 games
Strong Rose Bowl appearance ( I did not see this game)
won the 2009 Rose Bowl Offensive MVP of the game

2009 jumped to draft selected fifth overall by the Jets

So the kid is about as experienced as a junior in college, who started as a Freshman.
I know I know, once there was a time we had this kid...,
Mark is a good kid, but he is no TFB,
and lovely Rex sure as shootin is no BB.
And they both know it. Genuine Jesters.
Add Elle T to that row.

Indy showed nothing today. That team is a shell of its former self .
Revis is a good man, a few others, but I just don't see it being enough.
And this week is going to be freak show central, fuggitaboudddit.

The Pats will be just steaming, ready to burn them on contact.

I can't wait.

Suckchez is dreadful in big games.

Really? He's 3-1 in the playoffs on the road. Sanchez was terrible tonight, no doubt. There is no way you can generalize and say he's terrible in big games. It's just not true. He went into Pitt this year and won in Pitt when the Jets absolutely needed a win. He sucked tonight, yet he was clutch on the final drive when he needed to be. So, you probably need to rethink that position.

Sanchez doesn't suck in all big games but he's regressed this year and he's put on some of his worst performances this year in primetime.

I agree. The Jet defense played solid today (though they benefited from a Jet running game that kept Manning off the field in the second half). Nothing I saw in the game today leads me to believe the Jets will be gashed by BJE. However, I strongly suspect A) you will not be able to run as well as you did vs Indy and B) the Colt offense is inferior to ours.

I also agree that Sanchez will have to play better. However, I would say he needs to play A LOT better. The Patriot offense has scored 30+ 8 weeks in a row (against two 12 win teams, an 11 win team, two 10 win teams - containing some of the best statistical defenses). Based on that I feel confident we will score more than Indy. Sanchez would need to counter that with a much improved performance. I see that as a fair assessment.....

Hell yeah! That's EXACTLY what we wanted. And with all the crap that Rex has been saying, it just might 90 to 3 this time.

Sanchez is the opposite of Jay Fiedler. Big arm, no brain. Don't be impressed with a win in Pitt. Other than Polamalu, who was coming off an injury, the secondery for the Steelers is a joke. How'd he do against Green Bay? And the guy has weapons up the ass!! I'm not saying he will never be good, but he will never be great. How can you NOT put up 16 on that Colts defense!? Are we supposed to be impressed with them beating a team that the Titans dropped 20 on and almost beat??

Lets not forget, the Jets beating the Colts cost them their 2nd round pick in the upcoming draft :)

And we're gonna crush the Jets anyways, so really a waste of a draft pick :)

A friendly reminder. :)

I have observed many comments recently, mostly about the playoff games and the Jets that the Patriots will be facing next week. Even though we beat them 45-3 last time, that is NOT this time. That is the past, this is the future.
People have been saying how bad the Jets are, which is half true, BUT you have to remember, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. I have full confidence that the Patriots will come out with a victory in this, but I do not think for one second that this is going to be an easy game.

The Seattle Seahawks proved that today, they had some hideous games this year but when they played the Saints, they just turned it on. This is a BIG game, 10x bigger than the meeting in week 13. I just want to make sure know one gets carried away and remember come January 16th, the Jets are the Jets, won 11 games, no matter how they won them, they won them nonetheless.

This game is not a game to take lightly, but I have great confidence in the Patriots! Go Pats! ;)

technically this would be the present

I haven't seen him play enough to back that silly comment, lol. What I have seen looked terrible and his numbers in december(good time to be playing your best) are non existent 1 td 5 intceps last 4 games averaging low 50% comp perc 3 tough defenses, miami counted more than pit(div game) and he comp 38% of his passes 0 td 1 intcep. I saw that mess, no excuse just very inaccurate passes.
in his defense the play calling has been awful, hole other story.

Brunell used to be a guy that could make things happen, scramble etc when he played on the jags. Thought I read he tossed a couple td's in that Buffalo game. At 40 years old I'd start him

Should be an interesting game.

But got to think that Rex's comment about Manning watching more than Brady is going to give Tommy a big chip on his shoulder!!!

I hope so!
