Peyton did his job just like Brady did his against the giants. If you blame peyton, you have to blame Brady too, miracle catch or not.

By that definition, Tom Brady leading the greatest O of all time to 14 points in the SB was one of the biggest chokes ever.

You Colt fans say it all the time...

Bull crap, Brady got thrashed around all damn game. Peyton had a hell of a lot more time tonight.

Manning scored less than 20 points 10 times in the playoffs.

Brady only 5 (2 were severe weather games Oak and Tenn).

Brady is the GOAT.

Im glad people are so stoked up for the jets, because this is a bad match up...
lol... how? This is going to be a thumping. That game (NYJ-IND) was ugly... I think we'd handle either of them easily.

And now we don't have any chance of playing Baltimore next week (the hardest match-up of the 3 possible opponents next week)... aka, an easier path to the Super Bowl.

Didn't really care, but i think we can handle the Jets. Plus, I'm looking forward to the signs.

not his fault his D stinks..

3rd and 7 with 1:02 left (check me on this) and they pass. If Peyton called a run instead of a pass this game probably does not end the same way. The D didn't hold up against the run, but Peyton doesn't come out of this game unscathed. He certainly didn't play up to par...

I'm just saying that it's more than just one person's fault. It's a combination of things.

No Manning's left this year in the playoffs.

Im glad people are so stoked up for the jets, because this is a bad match up... i wanted the jets to go away, and if the colts d would have showed up in the second half then we play balt or kc, but now we have to play the jets again, a match up i did not want...

yeah...i didnt want to see another div team with a good running game vs our hurting dline and with their D adjusting to the last game :(

If you said Manning's D would only give up 17 points, you'd chalk it up as a win. But then again, I guess this is the same debate as the 07 SB, whether it was Brady's fault or the D. The difference: Mannings D has been "not good enough" 10 times, Brady's once. Draw your own conclusions.

Peyton has not re-signed with the Colts as of yet, we MAY have just seen his last game as a Colt.

That doesnt add up.
You are saying that either Manning is blameless for losing a game he only put up 16 points in, or Brady scoring 14 is one of the biggest chokes ever.
There are millions of miles in between those extremes.

yeah, uh... no. Peyton will get his contract no matter what, and it will be higher than Tom's.

All I said was "by that definition." It's not a defintion I accept.

I thought Brady played a very good SB against the G-men, and didn't choke at all. He almost hit Moss on that ridiculous pass at the end, that would have changed history.

Peyton has come up small in more than a few big games, but today wasn't one of 'em. I was proud of how he played; he took what the D gave him, made some big throws and relied more on his teammates than he usually does. He did enough to win; I blame that kick return more than anything.

I picture just big giant cutouts in the shape of feet. No words. Just big feet waving in the crowd. What a distraction for Rex.

Choking is going one-and-done in the playoffs 7 times, 5 times at home.

The Colts needed a touchdown to really ice this game and they failed. Plus, Manning clearly called an audible to that running play which was choked off for zero gain before the FG. That was bad, bad, bad, and chicken livered. Manning had the choice to call a pass to get the killer 1st down or try to run a few yards and take the FG. He whimped out (see the the other Payton in the Saints game), and taking a conservative FG approach when he may not have the ball again was fatal. This was on Manning - he's the best player on the field , it's up to him to make the right call and/or make the throw.

I guess people see what they want to see.
Dont want to face the Ravens because they played us tough.
Dont want to play the Jets because they have an advantage since we killed them and they can adjust to it.
