Re: I Wonder What the Back Covers of the NYPost and NY Daily News Will be Tomorrow

I disagree. I think that anyone who read that Rex would like to watch 3 meb simulaneous bang different orifices of his wife will remember that every time they see him.
I think this will have a huge effect on his reputation.

Wow. Didn't YOU do a 180 degree turn in this thread! :D

Time for a GD snack!

The latest from the Newark Star-Ledger; Revis acknowledges that Ryan admits the videos are his:

Jets organization, players back Rex Ryan after report of internet foot-fetish videos | NJ.com

"Woody and I have met with Rex," general manager Mike Tannenbaum said in a statement released by the team. "This is a personal matter, and he has our full support."

"That’s my man," linebacker Bart Scott said. "It has nothing to do with me, you know what I mean? That’s my man right there. I love him to death, and I'll be right behind him supporting him all the time. That’s all I know how to do. It's family. It’s not Coach Rex, it’s Uncle Rex. That’s my uncle."

Ryan confronted the potential distraction head-on in this morning's team meeting, according to players.

"He basically came in there and said, 'You guys might know about the situation; some of you guys might not know,'" cornerback Darrelle Revis said. "'You'll find out later on today. Right now, I feel embarrassed, but it's something personal with me. We need to focus on Chicago.' "

Revis said many players didn't know when Ryan addressed the team, or didn't know the specifics, but they appreciated his honesty.

The NFL, when asked if the report was on the league's radar, or in what manner it might be evaluated, said: "We consider it a personal matter."

And here is Florio's take on the above column; actually I'm surprised at the high percentage of commenters that are saying this is a 'non-story'. I guess a lot of Jet fans are PFT devotees.

Rex tells players he’s “embarrassed” by videos | ProFootballTalk

Moreover, we continue to believe that this isn’t about privacy but about respect and consideration for Ryan’s current and future employers. Ryan had a chance to protect the organization from embarrassment, and he deliberately chose not to do so by making those videos public.

Here’s the real question. Would the Jets have hired him if they knew about the videos?

And then there’s this question. Did the Ravens not hire him in 2008 because they knew about the videos?

Finally, the lesson to be learned by every pro sports team is that a wide net needs to be cast when looking into the background of a potential head coach. Language should be added to each coaching contract seeking a specific disclosure that the coach has not engaged in various, specific categories of potentially embarrassing behavior — with the threat of a for-cause termination that would cut off any future salary obligations if the team later learns that the coach lied.

In this case, our guess is that the issue never came up. Given the significance of the head-coaching position to billion-dollar football teams, it should have come up — and it surely will come up in the future.

I think, out of sensitivity to this private issue, CBS should refrain from using the word "foot" or "ball" when covering the Jets for the rest of the season.

Yes, it will be challenging for the broadcasters, but I think all viewers would appreciate it if CBS would refrain from evoking the images associated with those two words and Rex Ryan.

That game will involve two teams we beat by a combined 71 points this month. I think the word "football" can be easily avoided by the announcers.

"Ground and Pound, Baby. Ground and Pound." - Rex giving orders to the three dudes giving is wife's orifices a once-over as he looks on. Also, his general game-plan for the Jets, aka the New York FET'S.

The league has already said they consider this a personal matter and would not look into it, but it is interesting to re-read what they said last spring when they placed renewed emphasis on the personal conduct policy.

NFL.com news: Goodell issues memo highlighting NFL's personal-conduct policy

Goodell's memo, a copy of which was obtained Thursday, reads:

"The Policy makes clear that NFL and club personnel must do more than simply avoid criminal behavior. We must conduct ourselves in a way that 'is responsible, that promotes the values upon which the league is based, and is lawful.' This standard reflects the recognition that the conduct and behavior of our players and other league and team employees is critically important. Whether it involves your team or another, these incidents affect us all -- every investigation, arrest, or other allegation of improper conduct undermines the respect for our league by our fans, lessens the confidence of our business partners and threatens the continued success of our brand.

"As your club begins its offseason programs and approaches the Draft, I encourage you to be vigilant in reinforcing this message with your players and staff. It makes no difference whether an incident occurs during the season or in the off-season. At every opportunity, you should remind them of your standards and the public’s expectations, of the need to use good judgment, particularly when in a public place, and of the resources available to help us all in meeting these standards."

Now I'm not suggesting Ryan should be disciplined by the league. My point is that when Goodell instituted this policy, he started a slippery slope of what is and what is not a violation of the personal conduct policy.

Clearly there are dispensations for Jets offenders

I wonder if this means that at staircase D, jet fans will start shouting to women "show us your feet" instead of "show us your tits"

The alt.com stuf is going to get buried because some of it is incredibly gross.

Coprohilia?

Look it up?

People are going to want to bury it rather than bury him with it (sorry for the pun).

This may be the best for Jetsinsider.....

You know Cowher
And Parcells
And Coughlin
And Leavy

Edwards
And Harbaugh
And Tomlin
And Caldwell

But do you recall
The strangest coach of them alllllllllllll....

Ryan the New York Head Coach
Like to start below the knee
He had a little fetish
You can see on Net TV
All of the New York Tabloids
Like to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rexy
Forget about his losing games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Woody came to say
Rexy likes her toes real tight
He can coach my team tonight

Then how the fans did love him
As they shouted out with glee
Rexy the New York Head coach
Do you like to watch her pee?

Where do you see that on his profile???

I will give anything to hear an opposing crowd chant;

T-O-E-S Rex Rex Rex! :D

To be honest I don't care one bit if someone has a fetish, to each their own. But because it's the Head Coach of the Jets I am going to love every minuet of this.

I'm wondering if they ever tried the Dirty Sanchez?

Revis said that Rex admitted it was him.

This May Or May Not Be Rex Ryan's Wife Making Foot-Fetish Videos (UPDATE)

Did you see the bi-curious part of his profile? She used his bday and he used hers. What a night. First Suggs comes out with his conflicted sexual attraction for Tom and now this. I have to admit I feel sorry for Rex but then I remember it’s the J-E-T-S. They are the gift that keeps giving this year.

I just watched the press conference and I admit I did have a moment when I felt bad for him. But then I realized that they posted the videos on You Tube and thought no one would find them and so I resolved to enjoy this story while it lasts and frankly, I hope it lasts a while.

I have a dog who has that problem (only during the winter months for some reason.) Really disgusting stuff to see a family pet do. A person?

On the positive side, there are pills that Rex can take to help with that habit.
