The Pats need to DESTROY the Jets

Of course he has, but what does that mean? He was brutally awful last year.
This year he is not brutally awful but he is still a liabilty to your team. Last year that caused losses to decent teams this year it equals close wins against terrible teams.

Interesting, you were so adamant that he wouldn't improve. At least you can admit that you were wrong.

And how is he a liability.

He directly helped to beat the Pats, and lead 4 game winning drives in the 4th quarter, in games that they werw many times forced to squeak out due to defensive collaspses.

Off the top of my head, QBs better (or more elite as you put it) than Sanchez:

Brady
Vick
Rivers
P. Manning
Roethlisberger
Garrard
Cassle
Rodgers
Romo
Orton
Brees
Ryan
Flacco
Freeman
Schaub
E. Manning
Cutler
Bradford

He didn't direct anything against the Browns. He threw an int late and was given a gift at the end of OT. He then threw a slant that every QB in the league can throw and Holmes did the rest.

Interesting that outside of Freeman and Bradford all of those guys have started more than two seasons.

And by the way Sanchez is no worse than Garrard, Castle, and Freeman.

Wrong. I said that Jet fans who said he would automatically improve from his first year to second year were wrong because history shows otherwise.
If you seriously think I would post something "adamant;y" saying he would not improve, you have not been paying attention to what I post.
For the record, Jet fans were here saying he has to improve because all QB improve from year 1 to year 2 and I said that is wrong, many have not.

I said off the top of my head. I would put Stafford out there too if he could stay on the field.

Btw, Cassle has a 96 passer rating, 18 tds and 4 ints and a higher completion percentage, do you want to take that back?

Yeah that throw the Jericho Cotchery on a sure sack didn't help at all:rolleyes:

No one said he would "automatically" improve.

We said we saw signs that would lead us to believe that he would improve.

Guess we were right;)

What QB's would you put above Sanchez? Please make a list if you have the inclination.

Starting QBs that a Jets fan could at least find some mildly rational argument in favor of Sanchez about:

AFC East
Henne

AFC North
Palmer (to date, this year. Not in the aggregate)

AFC South
None

AFC West
Campbell

NFC East
None

NFC North
Favre (Again, this year, but not in the aggregate)

NFC South
Panthers QB du Jour

NFC West
Cardinals QB du Jour
49ers QB #1 (A. Smith, since there's not yet enough data for T. Smith to be fair)

That about does it. I wouldn't be pointing to this as a source of pride if I were a Jets fan.

Absolutely not. He can not bring a team back from behind and lacks physical tools.

I would take Sanchez over him all day.

We can always count on Jets fans for comedy.

Again, you make something up and attribute it to me.
He is a liability.
If he were not, a team with a top running game, top defense and quality corps of receivers would not be struggling to beat the dregs of the NFL.

Whos fault do you think it is that you would have lost to Denver, Cleveland and Detroit if they didnt make brutal, stupid, unconscionsble mostakes? If it isnt Sanchez, what other part of your team is causing you to stuggle vs the worst teams in the league?

Brady completed 19 of 24 passes and threw a TD ina 41-14 win vs Miami.
The fact that we rolled them and didnt need to pass more than 24 times is very different than Sanchex being ineffective tonight and needing a reverse, a ko return and a punt hitting a guy in the head to get his teams only points. My God do you have a clue?

I certainly do.

Look, I'm not stupid enough to compare Sanchez to Brady straight up QB to QB. That is ridiculous and I would lose...Handily. What I am going to do is point out that if not for an interception returned for a TD and two special teams scores, would you win that game vs Miami? Brady was 19 for 24 for 146 net yards passing. So the Pats can have that happen in a game and it be OK but the Jets cannot have the same sort of thing happen and be OK?

Why not?

I would not be happy with the snail pace improvement Sanchez is showing if I were a Jets fan. Its my opinion (and seems to be backed up by the stats). Jets fans can think whatever they want, I don't really care.

Don't try and argue.

This a really dumb argument. The situation dictated Brady not throwing for more yards. People are just pointing out Sanchez had a chance throughout much of the game to put his stamp on the game, yet he failed to do it.

Snail pace improvement?

He is on pace to double his TD's and throw for 1.5 Times last years yardage.

All while cutting down on his picks.

Wow, you are blind.

Defense melted down against Cleveland.

Of course Sanchez has struggled at times, not denying that. But he has also had some great games this year.

The future is bright for him, and any uniased nfl fan knows that.

Anyways, the Benadryl I took is hitting me now. Happy thanksgiving pats fans, looking forward to a fun week of arguing:)

You cant have a clue if you are making that argument. The Patriots led 27-14 before any special teams scores. A low yardage passing day when you blow the other team out is different than scoring 3 points at halftime and contributing next to nothing in the second half while you score on special teams and a reverse.

Coming from a blithering idiot, that's not saying much!
