OT: WOW Bengals are bad!

Anyone else see this my god they are terrible. Does Marvin Lewis make the week? How long till 85 explodes? Your thoughts?

What's even funnier is that this was a close game for awhile

How do you miss a 27 yard field goal that isn't blocked and no defender close to you? /facepalm

Also, anyone see the kickoff return for TD? I never want to see a Jets fan ***** that Pats always get the calls. On that return, a jets player like tackled 3 guys, and at the beginning of the run, a jets player was blocking a bengals player in the back for like a full 5 seconds.

In the end though, I suppose its not the Jets fault that the Bengals suck so bad.

Carson Palmer absolutely sucks and how in God's name does Marvin Lewis still have a freaking job??

I can't help but think back to the preseason interviews with TO and Chad Johnson claiming they would be impossible to defend.

The team is 2-9

Palmer is a scrub & his coach shouldnt have a job IMO...I'm just surprised how quiet Ocho has been, maybe he's saving his anger for the last week haha

The backup is his little brother , also Bengals fans wish the team retained Ryan Fitzpatrick.

There is a lot of talent being wasted on that team. Marvin needs to go like 3 seasons ago. Carson is roasted, done. His time is up and the Bengals need to move on and draft their QB of the future. They will never go anywhere with those two still with the team.

Once Palmer threw that INT into triple coverage, I knew there was no sense staying up to watch the game. It's like they never recovered from those two back to back losses to the Jets last year. Palmer seems like he's a different QB ever since his knee inury in 2005.

I switched off after the first quarter after watching Palmer miss a wide open tight end on a swing pass! Glad to know it wasn't a blip.

I switched it off after the missed 27 yarder.

Unless he suffered a concurrent brain injury, his knee had nothing to do with what has always been lacking in his game. He's an abyssmal decision maker. Early on the talent at WR covered for it. As they aged out or moved on or became more focused on their reality TV careers, it's not remotely covering for him anymore. He was never a leader either - largely because aside from Favre there are few guys a group of talented players will follow when they kill you fairly routinely with mental errors. Paired with an enabler HC the overall effect has always been a talent driven disappointment.

None of them has ever earned the cache the media bestowed on them. Palmer got his early extension for $98M supposedly so they could keep the reality TV star and the overrated #2 WR combo in tact. After one winning season they were ready to crown Marvin coach of the year and he even got a seat on the competition committee...for supposedly turning the Bungles around... Then of course Lovie became the darling du jour the following season and the Dungy coaching tree was all the rage...

I remember back in 2005 when mediots were incessantly doing the what QB would you build your franchise around exercises and Felger boldly selected Palmer as a younger and perhaps more talented version of Brady for his fantasy franchise cornerstone...LOL

The problem with hype driven perceptions in this game is they seldom stand the test of time. It's once again time to blow up the bungles. Although you could make a case for why bother...

That was just awful on so many levels. Even if Cromartie didn't get it, one of the other two guys would have because the pass was severely underthrown. Palmer looked decent last season, not as good as pre-injury, but not that far. Most people assumed it was the lack of play-makers, but no, he's just awful.

Also, was Marvin Lewis even awake when the Jets recovered that punt that didn't appear to touch a Bengal? The only camera shot I saw of him, he was standing upright with his eyes wide open and staring at the field, but I didn't see anyone home.

Pherein, I bet you Payton is drooling at the opportunity to play the Bungles. I kinda wish we had a few more games with them. I still haven't figured out how they went 6-0 last year to win a division with Pittsburgh and Baltimore in it.
