Great, now we only have to wait for Collie.

TE: Dallas Clark (Starter)
RB: Joseph Addai (Starter)
WR: Alex Gonzalez (#4 [?] WR)
RB: Mike Hart (#3 RB)

LB: Clint Session (Starter)
LB: Gary Brackett (Starter)
S: Bob Sanders (Starter)
S: Melvin Bulitt (#2 Saftey)

Ouch.

No Collie though?

Brackett being out will hurt their pass rush obviously. Crumpler helping out on Freeney will negate him and give Tom more time to find Deon, Wes etc

collie will play i think. he was out due to concussion and hence has been cleared otherwise wouldnt have travelled or praciticed. not sure if he needs to be a game time decision.

I'll take any advantage we can get. Its going to be a fun day of football tomorrow.

He still has to pass his neurological test given by an independent doctor. He practiced, but he was non-contact. They may be waiting to the last minute to have him take his test and that's why he travelled.

It's certainly a time thing and maybe making the test as last-minute as possible helps his odds. I'm wondering if cleared is closer to "barely" than "good-to-go". If he goes, I hope he doesn't get re-injured. Colt or not, he's a heckuva player.

Agreed. As much as I am a Pats fan, I'm also a football fan, and I'd rather see him held back if needs be and be able to play a few more years, than to get another concussion when this one might not be fully settled, and end up done with the game. He's a good football player.

It's a pretty solid thing that concussions are cumulative, and that no matter how minor they may be considered or rated, some small amount of damage always remains. Better safe than sorry.

Same here. The Colts have been traditionally pretty cautious with injuries, so hopefully that's a good sign.

The thing that I have heard with concussions is that it is actually better to get knocked out than to just get knocked goofy. I forget who I heard talking about it, but I'm pretty sure it was a former player that had suffered concussions. He said when you get knocked out, they shock to the brain basically causes it to shut down and completely restart like restarting a computer when it crashes. He said that when a player get knock goofy but stays conscious there tend to be many more lingering issues because things just get scrambled up but don't have that reset type effect.

If Collie wasn't given clearance to play yesterday, he won't be given clearance to play. That's how the new concussion rule works..

Cool. I did not know that.

To be honest, I would rather have Addai right now, but having Collie back will surely help.

Jacob Tamme, in his 3 games filling in for Dallas Clark...

24 receptions / 245 yards / 10.2 avg / 2 TDs

Kudos to Manning.

What if Tamme is actually good?

former Pats practice squad player javaris james will be the main back for the colts ?

Don't get too excited people. This will be our 1st game in a while without Shawn Crable.

Tamme, Collie and Garcon are all 4th+ round picks doing quite well under Manning. It's not a coincidence.

This board gets so insecure about Brady vs Manning that they have to take shots at Manning whenever possible, they're BOTH great QBs.

Tamme/Clark is just like Welker/Edleman in our offense

If Welker goes down, Edleman comes in and does Welkers role, just not as well. If Welker is in, Edleman hits the bench. Its the same with those two

This is not a shot at Manning. Every time a 4th+ round pick is productive while playing with him people think the guy is a mediocre talent who Manning makes seem much better. I have no doubt he elevates the play of those around him, but it's really hard to judge Colts receivers as they were all drafted by Indy and rarely leave to go to other teams, so you can't say Manning "made" them.

It's like "oh, this guy was a 5th round pick, so there's absolutely NO WAY he'd be any good if it weren't for Peyton Manning throwing him the football". This is overly simplistic and not necessarily true. It's like you have to be a HOF talent like Reggie Wayne to get a little credit if you are a Colts receiver. (but even then you'll be the one getting chastised when the QB throws a dumb pick to lose the SuperBowl).
