Average Running Game, Average WR's...What Do You Expect From Brady

Yes...but back then we had TWO of the best coordinators in the game!!!,.branch, givens,.and patten worked a lot after practices and offseason from all reports.....we also had a kicka## defense that took pressure off O....as u may recall we didn't exactly ring up tons of points during SB years....because we didn't NEED to...

You are spot on Sir
People forget how good the Coaches and Defense were in those days
I miss them both

tom brady is an OK QB. Prolly never gonna amount to much.

You guys remember TFB? Now that guy was lights out!

too bad he's dead.

Yeah, but not with an average QB. TB is rapidly becoming very average.
Branch, Givens, Brown, Patten, Johnson versus Branch (2010 version, hamstring injury suffered prior to or during the Vikings game), Welker (2010 version, post knee surgery), Tate, Edelman (invisible in the pass offense), Price (can't get on the field).

Didn't we win 3 Superbowls with Average WR's

There's no Vrabel, Bruschi, Johnson, Law, Milloy/Harrison, McGinest, Seymour or Ty Warren on this defense.

If Tom is becoming very average, imagine how bad the Colts fans must feel about Manning after today's game...

Brady
53%, 224 yards, 5.5 yards per attempt, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 90.5 QB Rating

Manning
60%, 294 yards, 5.0 yards per attempt, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 65.7 QB Rating

I doubt the Colts fans are getting concerned. Meanwhile half this forum is more obsessed with Giselle and Tom Brady's hair than anything football-related.

So I take it you think that TB is the TB of old and it's all everyone else's fault.

With Charlie Weis as offensive coordinator, there was a greater commitment to the running game. Also, Antowain Smith was a better running back with the New England Patriots during the 2001, 2003 Super Bowl years than BJGE. Did you forget the monster year from Corey Dillon in 2004?

I forgot none of those. I also didn't forget what Brady used to be. Sadly,
time takes it's toll on all of us, including TFB. To paraphrase a less than famous
basketball coach, "TFB isn't walking through that door!"

"What Do You Expect From Brady"?

How about not throwing the ball to the receiver's feet?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......you're not allowed to be honest about the QB. You are mandated to wear those Moss covered glasses they pass out around here. ;)

BTW the title of this thread should also include Average QB play. Great players make those around them better. Tom Brady is not elevating anyone else right now because his own play has been pretty average for most of this season. That should be the biggest concern we have about this offense.

Belichick has to answer for tying up roster spots with old unproductive RB's like Morris and Taylor. Ridiculous how bare the RB cupboard has been left by this coach.

Terrence Wheatley was cut because he couldn't see the field yet Fred Taylor still remains on the roster? Imagine how bare the running back cupboard would be without Woodhead?

This team has been going downhill for 3 years now. Maybe it's time to stop amassing draft picks and actually draft an impact player. There are far too many Braces, Butlers, and Spikes on this team and no Clay Mattews.

In 2008, I would have agreed, but we're actually going the opposite direction. The old defense has been re-built, we've got a lot of new parts that are coming together, and our problems have more to do with inexperience than deteriorating play.

It's interesting you mention Brace since everyone was picking on him last season, but he's turned into a decent player this season. Spikes has played extremely well, taking the starting job from Guyton. Only Butler has been a real disappointment out of the 3 you mentioned, and even then it's way too early to call him a bust.

You sound like Wilf from the Hitler clip
wanting the Clay Matthews jersey and some scotch. Next thing you know, you'll be telling us how God hates us all.

Or the receivers are not running the correct routes? Deion Branch is currently playing with a pulled hamstring. Edelman is all but invisible in the passing game this year. In essence, Brandon Tate is a rookie wide receiver in the New England Patriots offense this year. How about a lack of a running game against the Cleveland Browns?

Ok, just so we're clear, Tom Brady cannot every be blamed for anything? It's not poor throws, it's the receivers running the wrong routes:rolleyes:

So when Tate caught a pass but would up out of bounds, I guess that's Tate's fault for not being 6'10, because it's impossible that Brady threw the ball too high

Can't blame that on Tate, but you could blame that on his parent's genes.

Tom Brady did not have his best game of the year. I'll definitely admit that.

Not every pass from Tom Brady will be perfect.

Tom sometimes mistakes receivers feet for their hands that's why you see him throw at their feet so many times.

Seriously, this seems like the 2006 NFL season all over again for Tom Brady! Caldwell, Gabriel, Gaffney, and Troy Brown on his last legs.

0-2 VS the Ryan, brothers it has noting to do with the RB's and WR's Brady, can't handle the blitz up the middle and the Ryans know this,

Mankins, will be back it will get better, the pats are still tied for the best record in the NFL
