Petty stats are for Colts fans. Pats fans care about one stat: W:L

Nope we need to loose more to be taken seriously ;)

Has anyone noticed how paradoxical it is to question how accurately a teams' record reflects its capabilities by using a metric based on the assumption that the other teams' records accurately reflect their capabilities?
Ha ha, good one!

But we're talking about a person who thinks strength of schedule actually means something, and has no clue what the difference is between fact and opinion. Using words with more than two syllables is the equivalent of responding in latin and expecting the troll who hijacked this thread to comprehend your comment.

If we can go 16-0 we can go 15-1, I mean we have the same team minus Moss, Stallworth, Asante, Maroney, Faulk, Warren, Seymour, Bruschi, Harrison, Gaffney, Hobbs, Vrabel, Watson, Cassel, maybe a few other role players. I would say that is the difference between a single loss and win. How hard could it be?

Did I catch a Maroney in there?

If this team wins 13 games, it will be a supremely satisfying regular season.

Funny, because before the season started I could have sworn everyone was saying that we have one of the harder schedules in the league. 6-1 is legit, I don't care what your schedule is.

Coming from a little personal experience, I've seen my team crumble to 7-9 after seeing them start out 5-1. We benefitted from an easy schedule, and we had many easy opponents remaining, but we somehow found a way to go 2-8 for the rest of the way.

Also, didn't the Broncos go 6-0 or something last year before the bottom fell out?

Now, by no means am I saying the Patriots are gonna crumble. They're not built to do that. They're not coached to do that. I have a love-hate relationship with Belichick in that department.

I think New England is legit and are always to be taken seriously. Point is, there are many teams who come crashing down to Earth after taking the start of the NFL season by storm. Just ask my team...

Just posting a comparison of the three division teams.

I had the same thought. Statistics without interpretation or argument. I'm not sure if it was intended to be "the thing speaks for itself" type of post.

Throw in special teams stats, specifically yardage, average field position and TDs and opposing team yardage, field position and TDs and maybe it could speak for itself in explaining lower rankings with a great win-loss record.

It was just a general comparison of the three teams. I didn't post a conclusion from those stats. i was curious what Pats fans think of those stats.

QB puts up ZERO points and now needs fines to get him to stop blaming everyone else for his Zero Zorro performances....this actually HAS NO COMPARISON

LOL You guys love trashing Sanchez.

While I *may* use stats if it fits my need, I do know that stats really mean nothing as they can be skewed immensely. As stated before, the one and only stat that matters is the one in the W/L column.

If I were to take anything from those stats and didn't know anything about the team, I would think that they would be a .500 team or worse. However, you didn't include ST stats or defensive scoring stats.

Plus there are other intangible factors at play (e.g. injuries, coaching, talent level-player awareness, etc) that contribute to a teams W/L record.

Well duh! You are on a rivals board... It's not like you Jets fans don't enjoy trashing Brady.

Yay, 1,000

No...I don't love it...I find it a very necessary public service to counteract the absolutely over the top insanity of world class whack jobs like Ray Ray 19 and SG 3 who infest sports boards from coast to coast posting "the Sanchize!!!!","Jets ELITE!!!!","Twenty Two All Pro's!!!!","Rex Proves He's The Greatest Coach In History On Hard Knocks!!!" and on and on and on,unchallenged by ANY other Jet fans.

Sorry...but the job MUST be done...for our sport, for us, for humanity...

It is annoying that certain segments of the Jets fan base are a bit biased. Sanchez and Rex are both still learning a lot every week. Rex needs to figure out that you can't blow 2 challenges in the first half ever. Rex needs to fire Schotty Jr immediately. Sanchez is what he is right now. An up and down 2nd year QB with a horrible offensive coordinator.
