I never watched one episode of HBO's "Hard Knocks" special on the Jets...but a friend of mine watched every episode and he said that Woodhead "Tore it up in camp"....which made him wonder how in the hell the Jets would ever let that kid go.....

2 words...."Rex Ryan"

Even more words: They had just traded up for McKnight and didn't want to look like fools.

Of course, that's exactly the kind of thinking that usually leaves you looking foolish.

In their defense it's not unusual to waive undrafted guys like Wood back and forth from your 53 to your PS, something you don't dare do with early round pick rookies. In this instance of roster gamesmanship another org that makes a science of souting EVERYONE on EVERY roster saw a promising player with talents they thought were a fit in their scheme. Tough Luck, Jets.

and a couple more words: exactly the type of thing BB would not care about

Why haven't we extended Woody yet?????/ what is the wait?????

PS- if we don't sign him and go w/ Faulk instead. I am cutting ties w/ this team despite how much I love them.

Faulk is on IR.... he has no contract..... why are we not locking Woody up long term?

Yeah, but you've got to be careful about who you waive. How many guys have the Pats let go that have come back to haunt them? First guy I think of will be one...

Don't let the door hit you on the *ss on the way out

if you want to be a smart *ss I hope that it is a career ending injury for Faulk... so he can finally retire and take his rightful place in the Patriot HOF and not on this team.:)

old man Faulk. :(

Spoken like a true bandwagon artist. Me? I'd love to see the team go with both of them.

Anyway, for those that read on... you got an interesting surprise. For those that didn't, this is what you missed...

Rodgers rips into Jets fans

Since his arrival, coach Rex Ryan has made it a habit to try to stoke up the Jets and implore their rabid support. Ryan has even gone as far as to record phone messages to be sent out to season ticket holders to urge them on.

Based on the observations of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers from Sunday's game at the Meadowlands, it might be time for Ryan to send out another of those pre-recorded messages. Rodgers, leaking all over the passive and indifferent Jets home crowd, said, "It wasn't that wild to be honest with you. I was surprised. Fans, a lot of them didn't show up until the second quarter."

Rodgers said he was particularly surprised at how quiet the place was considering the Jets entered the game as the NFL's hottest team, having won five in a row.

"All of us were very surprised, a 5-1 team, as well as they were playing, [that] it wasn't a louder stadium," he said.

Ouch.

Off to ignore you go...

Although the camera tried to avoid showing them, I was shocked to see all the empty seats at the Jets game. What's going on?

Are you aware of the possible lockout? And that not withstanding he's not a FA so theres no need to get him under a contract now.

I hate idiocy

Im with you there

God, your posts hurt my eyes and makes me dumber just reading them. You obviously have not seen very much Patriots football over the last number of years. Faulk is still the most effective 3rd down back in the league.

I agree with Kontra, onto the ignore list. Just too many moronic threads.

thnx cmass great point:)

I don't think of the lockout  it is a sad thought:(

personally I think the lockout will not happen..... there is too much to lose for both sides.

Lock out='s idiocy and we surely agree on that:)
