But still what is bull**** about it?

Because The Titans are a bulsh*t franchise. It's a small market team with what, approximately 13 years of history? Fisher is a douche and they have no identity. Never have had any identity. Wanna wallow in obscurity? Go to the mountains of Tennessee and play for the ex-Houston Oilers.
Haven't done anything in over a decade and aren't going anyplace this year either. Vince Young?
Moss mixed in amongst a bunch of nobodies. No It Factor whatsoever where he's going. He's gonna hate it. Just think of the alternatives.

"Ooo, I'm a Titan." See how UNremarkable that sounds? Pretty unremarkable for a remarkable person, anyway. You wanna pack your lunchpail and wallow in obscurity, go ahead. Not me.

This is all funny to read, it's just like Groundhog Day. Are you guys all soft?

"When Rice returns, Moss, Rice, Harvin, Schiancoe, AP, Favre, it will be the greatest offense EVAR!!!"

He's been a non factor in 8 games...4 with the pats and 4 with the vikings.
-------------------------------------------------------

You guys think he'll make a difference when the #2 WR is Nate Washington? The QB Vince Young?

Don't sell Vince Young short... that guy can hand the ball off to his RB like a pro!

But still what is bull**** about it? There was less than a 1% chance he was coming back, it sounds like you had your hopes up way too much. I am actually surprised he fell to the titans.

For 24 hours I heard Moss to NE, damn right I had my hopes up, this is almost as bad as the V Jax rumors, makes me want to ignore NFL rumors.

Now they are acting like he won't quit on them, as if he didn't have a better QB and better RB in Minny and quit after they worshipped it.

Good news. Randy will stretch the Tits and allow Chris Johnson even more room to operate in both the passing and running game.

Well if you actually paid attention you should have known the Pats had the last shot at him. And very few people thought he would clear waivers or even fall to the Pats on waivers.

I know!!!!! Titans still have 2 Indy games and 1 Miami game left on their schedule.:) (This makes it frigging funny)

You act like Randy Moss had a choice in this, he didn't. So no there is nothing bull**** about it at all.

Thanks captain obvious, this is like taking a girl still in love with her ex and pretending it will work. Not everyone expected TEN to be this damn dumb, they waste millions and Moss wastes his career for a year at least.

I expected a team before Tennessee did. Why is Tennessee dumb?

No, I didn't act like Randy Moss had a choice in this. I dunno how you read it with that angle to it. You taking literary license with my literary license? lol.

I've read countless posts this morning with people moaning and groaning about the fact Moss is gone. It's time to move on and start focusing on who's here and the guys who are in this locker room. This topic is getting old - and even as patient as I am, I can't stand reading it any more.

Let's be realistic - he's not coming back. Tennessee isn't going to cut him, and the Titans are competitive and have a chance of doing some damage in the playoffs if they continue to play well. Moss wanted out of Minnesota because Childress is an idiot and the team is terrible - and Moss knew it. That's why things went down the way they did.

Otherwise it's week 8 - enough is enough. Things are only going to get tougher in the coming weeks, so it's time to pull it together and get ready for what will likely be some trying times ahead. If you can't handle a loss when the team is 6-2, I can only imagine what things will be like if they hit a rough spot - and one may be coming.

Needless to say I'll be merging all future threads related to that here. If you're frustrated with the wideout play, you're better off trying to discuss a solution other than bringing Randy back - otherwise I'm guessing this thead will be full pretty quick.

Randy Moss is not walking through that door. (nor is Dan Marino)

I'm a main culprit of this kind of talk today, yet I fully understand the sentiment and why its probably time to move on from Moss.

That said, after 4 weeks with #81 and 4 weeks without, its hard to not draw comparisons. It's also hard to talk about the struggling offense without bringing up how defenses are defending us right now, which inevitably leads to Moss discussion.

So while I fully understand and appreciate what you're aiming for, I'm not sure its entirely feasible until this offense shows it can play for 60 minutes with its current personnel. Just my .02.

I think starting a thread on Moss is unnecessary, and I'd support the decision to merge/move/practice squad those - but if he comes up in discussion, well, it is what it is.

Obviously I get what you're saying, but the end result is Moss isn't coming back to the team - regardless of how defenses are playing them. The coaching staff will break down film and try and come up with a better solution to utilize who's currently here - they're not going to be trying to figure out how to make a trade with Tennessee. If Moss was the solution he'd still be here - Belichick's not an idiot and would never cut off his nose to spite his face, so obviously there was a reason behind it. Moss isn't a guy who's going to catch 5-8 balls a game anymore, and it's not a video game - you can't just keep chucking the ball down the field for the one time he'll pull one in. "It is what it is," and it's time to let it go.

Finally!! thank you Ian!!

wish we could even also the posts in other threads that refer to Moss. :D Just kidding.

I'm sick of hearing about Moss. We win a couple games without him and everyone is exited about our new offense. We lose one game and people have to make idiotic comments that we need him back now.:bricks:

I whole heartily endorse this thread. Moss is gone. The offense was not stellar when he was here to begin with and the consistency issues go well beyond his loss. We need to stop turning every thread into a Moss thread.

Exactly - and I'm not going to listen to it over the final 8 weeks. As I said, we're in for a tough two weeks and it's conceivable that we could see a three game skid - and I'm trying to brace everyone for the fact that it's going to be a rough ride. So try and get in the mindset that everyone is going to need to remain level-headed. I'm not going to allow this place to meltdown if they struggle, so there are quite a few people who need to get it together so we can maintain some sense of sanity in here.

Sorry for my role in badgering the doomsayers. It felt like I was playing Asteroids.

In any event, I fully support this Moss topic idea.
