Ok who were the schlubs that said Mayo was not a playmaker in this defense? Please step forward and raise your hands. :D

well usually in BB teams in this years we are not a team with a LB with tons of tackles, usually the leader was Harrison

Not only do I like his playing ability, but he's got a great football attitude based on his interviews.

Mayo is some player....I was actually signing on to the boards to start a thread about him myself...

I dont think he gets the recognition he deserves in the NFL... I honestly think he is an elite LB ...among the best at this point...I would take him over pretty much anybody at this point to be honest...

Is there anybody else you would rather have playing for us at that position right now?? (lets just pretend that a player could come in and learn the playbook in a day)

Last few games, this dude has come back in a big way. He looks as fast, strong, and instinctive as ever.

The instinctive part is what's new. His rookie year he often looked lost despite making plays through sheer physical talent. Looks like this year the game has slowed down for him. It's uncanny how well he's diagnosing and stepping through trash to make tackles now.

Hope one of you reporter types interview him and ask him what changed for him this year...

i would say that maybe 5 ILB's in the game today would be able to stop peterson like Mayo did on his "touchdown"

this guy was pretty good his rookie year, hurt his sophmore year, and this year is lights out, if we can hold off the vikings run D, this team can stop any rushing atk

and this LB is a big reason why

A big

THANK YOU

to Eric Mangini for drafting Gholston and leaving us Mayo.
