VIDEO OF THE CONFERENCE

Thank you

and he is right when he said: "I wish we could have had that three at the end of the half. Maybe could have been different, maybe not. ..."

Things could be different when the score is 21-21, and not 18 - 21

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

Even *I* think he is worth more than the vet minimum. But relatively low salary plus incentives based on playing time and team wins. (note: no incentives based on catches or TDs)

It would make a statement if he returned on a vet minimum. Or something very low like that. Obviously he's worth more than that.

Re: Moss post-game

Wow you guys are a bunch of hardasses. Some of you act like he robbed you at gun point. Moss clearly misses being on the team and maybe he is regretful of his actions. People make mistakes lighten up on the dude.

He makes his selfish "mistakes" every where he goes. By the grace of god he ended up in NE and managed to **** up here with his piss poor attitude.

He's not the victim

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

And that smell is why he will not be back.

He's been a Viking for what, 3-4 weeks? He just did to them something similar (and probably worse) to what he did to this team the last time he took the podium here... Went on and on about himself and his emotions, only this time after a crushing loss. No way Bill lets that guy back in the building until he retires...he will admire his HOF talent as it diminishes from afar. Because it's crystal clear he just cannot help himself and he doesn't get what is so selfish about his conduct because in his mind everything is always all about his emotions. Can't ever trust that guy again. Vikings fans hate Chilly so much they'd be inclined to forgive most anything. They are taking this presser badly... They just finished reuniting with him as the long lost and never forgotten first love, and he just called out his former lover names in the midst of screwing them...

I disagree. I think there is a chance that he has actually learned from this experience and grown. I think he appreciates NE more than he ever realized he did or would. If he was given the opportunity to come back, then he would do everything it takes to fit in because he now realizes BB's methods will get you Wins. even if it doesn't help you personally.

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

This is so sad. I really do feel bad for Randy but I have the feeling he brought it upon himself.
I wonder if BB still sees any value left in him and for what price.
I know there is already a thread about a possible Randy return but sadly, it is the end of the road here for Randy Moss.
I would love to be wrong on this but I'm pretty sure I'm not.

I dont see him getting a big offer from anywhere so he might just come home.

Take a look at Welker's stat lines since the trade. There is plenty of value to having him here.

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

Looks like he discovered the grass really isn't always greener.

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

Any truth to the rumor that Chilly was so pissed at Moss's comments that he offered up a second round pick to BB if BB would just take Moss back?
Yes, that's true. He offered Moss for a 2nd round pick, or Moss and Favre for a 5th round pick. :D

I honestly think he would accept a 1mil per year salary from NE and turn down a 7mil per year salary from any other NFL team...hell i think he'd approach the Patriots with that idea.

Anyone notice how he said "the guys" and "this team" without prefacing it with "New England"...he still considers the pats as his team and the pats players as his teammates

I think Randy will get offers but I think he would sign with the Pats for a reasonable amount. I do not know if the Pats would want him at this stage. Moss has made plenty and he does not live an extravagant lifestyle. His home in Florida is no different than the homes many of us live in. No mansion for Randy.

I strongly doubt he would give the NEP a $6 million dollar discount. But I think your numbers are wrong on both ends.

I could see him taking a $3 million dollar deal from NEP, while turning down a $3.5 million dollar deal elsewhere.

It reminds me of how the Patriots didn’t franchise him after his 1st year. The did that so they could get a deal with him. Randy is emotionally fragile but talented and seems like a very nice if odd guy. I know Wes would like him back and if he doesn’t get a huge deal, which I expect to be the case, I think he would come back under the terms that he is valuable but isn’t #1 because there is no #1.

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

Even better...we sign him to a two year deal for Welker money and after one year we trade him to Oakland for a second round pick.

the he's just our rental property for draft picks.. new way of doing business in the NFL

Quote:
Tried to prepare, tried to talk to the players and coaches about how this game was going to be played, couple tendencies here and a couple tendencies here. The bad part about it, is you have six days to prepare for a team, and on the seventh day, that Sunday, meaning today, I guess they come over and say, 'Dag Moss, I guess you was right about a couple plays and a couple schemes they were going to run.' And it hurts as a player, that you put a lot of hard work in during the week, and at the end of the week, Sunday, when you get on the field, that's when they acknowledge about the hard work that you put in throughout the week. That's actually a disappointment.{Unquote}

Spell it out to Childress in block letters, he still doesn't know what to do with it. What a maroon--:D

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

It all depends on how the Patriots do this season without a deep threat because that it is the situation right now. So far they have survived but it has not been easy. The Patriots have to claw for every yard; Felger may think that this is great but it is not. The Patriots had a scary offense with Moss in there but now the safeties have little respect for the Patriots WRs and are cheating down.

Absent a problem with Branch's hamstring we would've hit on twodeep passes for TDs (Tate). This will show up on game film. We have a real and actual deep threat.

We're progressively getting better in all phases, at steady pace ......... how good will we be six weeks? In BB I (was right to) Trust. Now, where did I put my footy pajamas?

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

There's no way the Patriots even so much as make an offer. All this other talk about what Randy would "settle for" is meaningless.

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

he won't come back, nor should he. too awkward with the team dynamic that BB is building. kind of a shame Moss couldn't see the forest from the trees on this.

Re: Verbatim: Randy Moss

Interesting take on a Vikings Board. Sounds like they are through with and a few think he is heading back to the Pats.

A number of the posters on other Vikings boards don't blame Randy and want Chilly gone yesterday. I think the Vikings are a team that truly hate their coach. Does anyone think there is a chance that Randy gets cut because of this?
