I can just as easily believe the plane story just as much as what bb is saying right now
Not necessarily, but given the press conference we ALL saw and the way he was acting in plain view on Monday Night Football I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, as it usually is.
Emphasis on "according to Randy".We will get the real story (according to Randy) when Randy gives his presser in Minn today.
To me I heard something else and here is BB quote on confrontations with Randy.
"There never has been one with me in four years"
See I read that there was confrontations just none with BB.
Emphasis on "according to Randy".
While I am absolutely grateful for what Moss did for the Pats for the past three years, I'm not sure that I am ready to accept that whatever he says today will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
There's no upside for Belichick in throwing Moss under the bus, so he took the high road and deflected the questions with generic answers. Hopefully Moss will do the same.
It seems to me the conference was called because Belichick wanted to defend Moss...

I think the most telling thing about this presser is that BB said "We've won the most games in the last decade."
Which I think is a hint that he has confidence in what he is doing and with the team he has on hand.
More likely he wants to get the first word in before Moss has his press conference this afternoon. A little spin control.
That way, if Moss comes out and slams BB or the Patriots, he will just look bad.

Why? What would be the purpose of that - other than Belichick ignoring you and your questions from that day forward? Just to play devil's advocate, even if that was exactly what the Patriots were doing, how would you expect him (or any other NFL coach) to answer that question?I would have asked; are the Patriots giving up on this season?
I watched him high five Welker in the fourth quarter and read the report from rap sheet that he was upbeat after the Patriots win.
Kinda wondered why all of a sudden reports were coming out from when there was no media available. "A source familiar with the situation". Also makes you wonder why these reports only came out after the Moss trade was announced.
I don't think so. Why is everyone so negative over here? He spoke with Moss earlier and they have mutual respect for each other. I'll eat my shorts if Moss comes out and disses Belichick or even New England. It was reported earlier this week that Moss is extremely grateful for the opportunity New England has given him to get his career back on track.
What I believe is that the simplest explanation tends to be the correct one. And having BB just up and decide to trade a cheerful, happy and productive Moss mid-season for a third rounder for absolutely no reason other than charity towards Moss's desire to have a long-term contract somewhere is absolutely asinine.
I have never and will never really believe what Belichick says in a press conference. Won't start now. Admitting to these incidents being true does nothing for him. He may be telling the truth now, but Belichick didn't trade Moss because he felt he owed Moss the opportunity to go to a place where he might get a long term deal. Something happened behind the scenes.
