Rumor: Moss to Vikings?

This seems a lot like the rumors that Randy Moss would be traded prior to his first season in New England when he was out with an injury. I feel like this is in part a reaction to the bizarre gameplan last night.

You really have no clue what the hell you're talking about, do you?

He was open. Just because Jaworski waxes ecstatic about Vontae Davis doesn't make it the true nature of what occurred on the field.

I saw no video of Davis consistently blanketing Moss and a couple of him being open on a slant and an in and out and not thrown too. Saw him blocking a lot.

I hear a Miami fan on here trying to salvage an iota of light out of a historic debacle.

That's all.

If this happens, the days of the Tom Brady 7-step dropback are probably done. Good.

I do not like this at all.... Moss means too much and the only other deep threat we have it Tate which has not proven anything at wide receiver.

hey guys, vikings fan here. I wouldn't be surprised if we shop any of the following players along with a rd 2 or 3..

Chad Greenway, Madieu Williams, Tyrell Johnson, Asher Allen, Antoine Winfield, Bernard Berrian, Toby Gerhart, Bryant McKinnie, Greg Camarillo, Hank Baskett, Greg Lewis (if you would want him back), Ray Edwards, Jimmy Kennedy

But honestly, if you guys did trade Randy back to his RIGHTFUL HOME! I would forever love the patriots.. I mean you guys will cream everyone with the next draft (2011 or 2012 :/) but well enjoy our ring from 2010..

Players you ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT GET: Visanthe Shiancoe, Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, Kevin Williams, Chris Cook, Cedric Griffen, Steve Hutchinson, E.J. Henderson, Sidney Rice, Jared Allen

This is upsetting - i love Moss

there.. Ive said it.

:(

All these trades and this delusional thinking that high draft picks are great value for the team are disturbing. Brady is 33....are you trying to make a super bowl run when he's 37 or 38? The time is now. Go for it this year...I hate throwing in the towel so early.

Exactly!!!!

Seems to me it's become more of a fire sale, considering Moss's recent antics and the suggestion he "had words" today with BB.

Good point.

I am a big Randy Moss fan and think he's a better person than he gets credit for however ... I think I am ok with this trade.

I wish Randy much luck with the Vikings. If it were the Jets he could burn in hell forever.

moss is a diva *****. i pray they deal his sorry selfish whining ass out of town.

I seen that post and its clear you hate Moss. Well you are going on my ignore list after posting that muck.

And you have the honour of being the first person ever to go on it.

And one more thing.

Don't you know Brady will be playing here FOREVER if he had his way? He was sincere when he said it.

Yes....He was open and the ball was rarely thrown to him. Next.

Relatively new here... but I'm assuming I shouldnt bother to try to have an intellectual football conversation with you?

Randy Moss is the final piece of the Vikings' championship puzzle in 2010 just like Hershel Walker was the final piece in the Vikings' championship puzzle in 1990.

Well if the trade happens so be it.

2011 draft is full of great young players we can avoid like the plague.:D

That really doesn't help us this season and its not like we really need the extra pick in the second when I believe we already have 2 and 2 first on top of that. I love to add young talent but this move much like the Seymour move last year really puts the team in a bad position this season. Unless the Pats have little intention to re-sign him next season but wouldn't we get a third if he walks?

No.

According to AdamJT13, who I believe knows as much about the comp pick system as anyone not directly responsible for the system, a player with 10+ accrued seasons can only net the team he leaves a fifth-round pick.

So, assuming this trade offer is legitimate, the choices are something like:

2011 2 to trade him now, or
a possible 2012 5 if he walks at season's end.

Without question. You're clearly not up to the task.

As much as I am against Moss being traded; I think I will change my mind, reluctantly mind you, if they offer us what they gave up for Hershel :p
