Dont you think that if Moss had something to say to BB he'd drive to BB's office and talk to him, he's sort of a loose cannon, you cant see this happening?

BB was on EEI this afternoon

Fred, Steve and chief suckerupper Ordway...talked for a half hour....ZERO brought up on this...ZERO said about this...ZERO indication of ANY "lockeroom meltdown" reports...

but...suddenly...it's all true

on a related note...I got a nice Chevy Monza with doors to match...only three million bucks and a Las Vegas vacation...somebody help the Joker out and tweet this for me

True, but BB was about an hour late for his appearance and there was some mention by them along the lines of "he's working on something" or "I wonder what he's working on up there," in the context of a trade.

Details keep dropping on rumored Moss deal

So where do we stand? Looking warily at our computers and Blackberries as conflicting information pours in on a possible deal that would send Randy Moss to the Vikings.

What the hell, let's do a roundup.

Jay Glazer at Fox Sports says the Vikings and Moss are still working on a new contract and that a deal sending Moss to Minny might happen even without a new deal.

Jason LaCanfora at the NFL Network says there has been no contact between Moss and the Vikings and no permission granted to do so.

Our own Gary Tanguay said that a pissed-off Moss had a dustup with Bill Belichick today and that Belichick picked up the phone and tried to deal Moss.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen has a player source confirming that the teams are trying to get a deal done.

My take? I've spoken to Patriots sources. I've spoken to teammates of Moss. I've spoken to Vikings coach Brad Childress (a guy who's got a spotty record with the truth when it comes to football matters). If something was up, it is now down. Laid to rest, put to bed.

Will it rise again? With Randy Moss, it always does.

If the Pats have three 2011 1st round picks and two 2011 2nd round picks we could trade down on all five picks and have the rights to all thirty-two 2011 4th round picks.

Or, the entire fifth and sixth rounds...

I wonder how Tom Brady feels about this.

I'm hoping he feels like he's been in the league long enough to understand fully that this is business, and he just signed a record contract to be the leader of the New England Patriots, whoever that team might include, for several years.

Brady will go absolutely ape**** if they trade Moss. Unless this is part of a deal for Vincent Jackson I don't see ANY way in which this move is "in the best interest of the football team".

You really think Bb would talk about this? And its not surprising Deossie and Smerlas know nothing about this, they're not reporters or ever have scoops, they just stutter on the radio.

do you really think that there was a confrontation at 12 in the afternoon and no one heard about??? And BB would be laughing and joking hours later with THIS FIRESTORM already in motion?

Man...you must see boogeymen behind every tree

Trade this locker room cancer and get V. Jackson.

You could just tell from Moss's face last night that something bad was going to happen, sulking little child.

Jackson didnt go to vikes cause chargers didnt like compensation. No way pats would get a 1+, because chargers wouldnof had to taken that.

Thats right.

I read SD wanted two 2nds for Jackson.

Players come in on days off for lots of things, treatments, workouts, extra film study etc..

It is not uncommon.

They don't have to have practice to meet.

But the claim was that he also met with players in the locker room. The locker room doesn't have players in it when there is no practice. Sure they could have met in an office, or seen other players in a workout room, but the story made it sound like there was a meeting in the locker room

The soccer moms on WEEI this morning made mention that "Randy Moss is unhappy" after last night's win. It was just a throw away line and never brought up again, at least in the 15 minutes of the show I listened to...Blind squirrel?

If they did then my guess is it was based on nothing more than the stat sheet. Of course if this turns out to be true, they'll probably be in line for shoulder surgery after patting themselves on the back for being the first to get the scoop.

Glazer reports trade was being worked on prior to last night's game, which means the move by Vikings to clear a roster space this morning indicates the trade is a done deal and the only thing remaining is an extension for Moss.

TMI.me: when you have too much to say...

iam hoping and praying this was a case of the vikes calling and pats picking up the phone and talking to see what they are getting just like the broncos/cutler thing..

Yup. No one is that good an actor. Even a real actor, and I've been around some big named ones in my career.

Haven't read the whole thread, but if Reiss says they're talking, I believe it.

With the Patriots in talks to trade receiver Randy Moss to the Vikings -- information initially reported by Foxsports.com and since confirmed by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter -- the question that came to mind is what Bill Belichick might be thinking with this type of deal.

If true and if for a #1 plus than you definitly do it. Let's get back to the old style Patriots and not worry about the fragile psyche of a diva WR. This team has been soft since 07, this isn't fantasy football. I won't lose any sleep over this if it happens, not one bit.
