Jets or Dolphins

the dolphins/thread

It wasn't kryptonite against fatso's defense in Baltimore on a Monday or Sunday night in 2007.

We won that game because of a screw up by the Ravens coaches with a timeout they should have never called for

Back to my point I am referring to Ryan as HC with the Jets, not as DC with the Ravens

I'm personally hoping for a tie.

Who will you guys be rooting for during this game. Obviously we want the jets to lose, but the Dolphins will be 3-0. I don't think they are as much of a threat as the Jets so I will want Miami to win. Plus I hate the Jets. But If Miami is beating the Jets does that tell us something else about Miami?

I'd rather the Dolphins win. We haven't played them yet, so a sweep is still in play, and I just don't like the Jets, whereas I wouldn't mind the Dolphins if they didn't happen to be in our division.

J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS!! :D

As the SOLE Soul who said, BEFORE the season, that the Fish were more of a threat than the Jets, I adhere to my original position.

2010 is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot for us, boys.

But we DO have...a PRAYER.

A lot of people said that before the season. Probably about half of this board believed that.

If it's a "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot" for the Patriots, what the hell is it for a team like the Rams?

Also, how many teams in the AFC do you think are definitively better than the Patriots?

Tom Brady hasn't won a road game in the US against anyone but Buffalo since 2007.

That's a hyperbolic way of saying Brady hasn't won in his last 8 road games (given that he missed 2008 and has played "7" road games in 2009 and 1 in 2010).

Suffice to say, as bad as things appear, I think they can manage at least 3 road wins this season, I'm not worried about that.

The only road games I think are realistic to win are Cleveland,Detroit and Buffalo...none of those are even close to a cakewalk the way this team has performed away....eventually now or in a year or so they have to beat a team on the road that will have more than 5 wins for the season...right??

Truthfully...

1) Colts (head-to-head they've owned us since the 2005 season, and are still an elite team coming off their SB appearance)
2) Steelers (their QB situation looks iffy right now, but they can run and stop the run, something the Pats can't do either of at present time)
3) Texans (balanced overall with strong offense and defense)

That's about it. The Jets and Ravens could be better but not I'm not 100% convinced given how erratic their QB's have looked. Maybe the Dolphins, too. Chad Henne is trash in my opinion, but even he's capable of lighting up the Pats D and I don't think it's a given that the Pats would beat them in either matchup this season.

I can be swayed rather easily that the Pats are better than that :D but I'm going by what I've seen over the past few games, and past few seasons. This team, as presently constituted, is not a juggernaut, but rather just another competitive NFL team the same way the Dolphins, Titans, Falcons, and this year's Chargers are. Good, not great.

Dolphins. I want to see as much pain, frustration and havoc brought down on the Green Beans as can be imagined from every corner of the known universe and beyond.

Well since we are only in week 3 and we have to start worrying about division match ups, because we cant beat a inept offense... I have to say Miami, because we get to play them twice yet... jets already beat us so as pats fans we need to root for miami.. If we want to make the playoffs, but that is a long long way away yet

Did you sleep through 2007?

We do not want to need to win to prevent Miami from being 4-0, with a lead of two games over both division rivals, and tie-breakers agains both rivals.

i agree 100% with the pats and jets not looking like more then 10 or 11 win teams they can't have the fish going 4-0

dolphins. can't stand either team but hate the classless jets even more.

It's too early to tell which outcome will be more beneficial to us, alot can happen over the next 14 weeks. I might just opt for a movie Sunday night as I can't myself cheering for either team.

To start the season off with 2 wins followed by 2 consecutive games against the top challengers to the division, one of which is missing its franchise CB and top receiver and the other team which has an inexperienced secondary and will go visiting on prime time .... looks like a good start for the Phins
