He also set an NCAA record for most yards in a career at Chadron State. At a time when Nebraska couldn't find break away options at tailback, Husker fans were collectively pulling their hair out that Callahan didn't recruit him.
 
The only downside from his size that I can see might be when he's supposed to block a 280 pound defender. Otherwise, if he runs low to the ground and is real quick, he'd be tough to bring down.
 
Maurice Jones-Drew is 5'6" and has done fairly well.

These small guys make good RBs cause once they hit the pile the 6'5" OL doesn't know if the guy is on the ground yet or not.
