Gostkowski extended through 2014

Gost is a good kicker but I'm not sold on him as a pressure kicker. And yesterday is ridiculous. He needs to be making those kicks.

I'm not sold on there being such a thing as a pressure kicker.

Those kicks were 47 yards, and 56 yards.

Adam Vinatieri didn't make a kick longer than 48 yards in half of his career seasons.

Gost has a much stronger leg than Adam ever had. Professional place kickers in the NFL MAKE 47 and 56 yd FG's. Helllloooooooooooooo...............

The 2 pressure kicks he had to make in the playoffs he has made! It is very hard to say he is not a pressure kicker when has not ever really been in those situations. BTW his 2 pressure kicks he made were on the road in the playoffs.

47yd field goals are hit about 50% of the time, and 56 yarders less than 25% of the time, so actually, professional place kickers miss them more often than not.

Gostkowski is awful (besides KOs). Belichick hasn't had faith in him to make the big kick since 2007 yet he remains on our roster. Gostkowski picks the absolute worst times to miss and now is struggling with the only kind of field goal he used to be able to handle (kicks 39 yards and under). Get this ****ing bum off the team.

He really needs a confidence boost from somewhere.

His kickoffs that used to go through the endzone are now going to the 5.

His field goal kicking is poor at best.

I'd love to see Bill test him and bring in any kicker on the Practice Squad.

Lucky you, due to his contract the ghost is pretty much guaranteed to be here another couple of years at least unless he somehow falls to the level of one of the worst in the league and stays there for the rest of the season.

on the field goals there's only one difference (known outside of the halls of Gillette...presented by raytheon) between the most accurate kicker in franchise history and this years Ghost: holder. could be that The Zoltan is a good punter and a bad holder
