Not what I said. I objected to the comment someone made, maybe you I don't know, that because Welker was a big factor it meant that O'Connell was not a factor. Go back and read my post if necessary.

I said Kevin O'Connell was a factor in how the game played out because the Pats had to make last minute changes to the protections. Brady was knocked around a LOT that game with little time to throw to anyone.

Whether or not Welker would have made the difference I don't know, but anyone who watched the game, with the white poster board of plays, must realize the hoops the Pats had to go through because of the signing of KOC.

There was also Brady and his second game back from surgery.

There were a number of factors in that game, all contributing.

The mistake the Jests made was letting Woodhead go and keeping 2 friggin FBs. That is plain dumb.

Woodhead is a nice scrappy player who plays his ass off, but doesn't have NFL level skill, he's tough, actually a great PS type of player because he can do a number of things on the scout team, he can catch, but stop trying to spin this into more than what it is, paranoid Bill needs all the intel he can get, he can't use his cameras anymore, so this is the next best thing.

Yeah, because cameras have something to do with Wes Welker constantly torching your overrated secondary. There is no other fan base that brings that whole thing up. Nor do they bring up the fact that if it wasn't for a horrible non-holding-call-helmet-catch-dropped-int-drive, the Pats, well, you know....

I couldn't believe the Jets let this guy go since he seemed to fit a plethora of roles on their team, it would be hard not to find a place for this guy. The Jet fans I talked to seemed to like him. The only question I would have is how smart is this guy? Can he put the time in and pick up the playbook? If so he could be a real weapon all over the field. Especially with Brady at the helm.

Anyone remember Aiken when we picked him up from the Bills and people said we would only keep him for one game? I don't think the Pats do the 1 game thing - this kid is pretty darn tough, quick and agile. Looks like the Faulk replacement although I expect Faulk back next year.
