That was an ugly, ugly game, and it's pretty hard to defend Sanchez's performance. But I actually don't think he deserves all the blame.
Basically all of the things that you should do with young QBs, the Jets have ignored. They handed him the starting job on a silver platter (there was no real competition), they let him run wild for a while and realized that was a bad idea, then locked things down to the point that he's terrified to even look down-field.
After last season's improbable run to the AFCCG, they started the year with huge expectations and huge pressure, to which they only added onto it with Rex's big talk, and Hard Knocks. They get rid of Alan Faneca, weakening the line. They get rid of their #1 RB from last season, weakening the run game.
He's young, he may not suck forever. But the Jets FO has to accept a lot of the blame for the confused young kid out there screwing up their season.
