Moss Postgame Presser Meltdown

BTW know what's really bothering Mr. Team Player?
He's no longer THE focus of this passing game. Fido didn't sniff a pass near the end zone today. He's just one of many moving parts and he doesn't like it.

Who the F*** let him go out to that press conference.

Stupid, stupid, stupid move.

Go ahead, somebody ask Wes about his contract...he'd cold **** you. I get on some level it isn't intentional but Randy doesn't know how to be a positive force on a team. Great, Wes is now trying to apologize for him and deflect questions about his reaction...

Which is bullcrap given what the little man has done to come back from his injury and score 2 TD's today

Moss is obviously a little insecure. He's seen Vince and Brady make their money and he's out of contract next year so I can see why he's maybe a little down.

Seriously I don't think playing hard ball businessman works here. You need some level of man management and an arm round the shoulder, whatever it takes to get his head right and ready for next week

All that said this shouldn't have been aired in a PC

Maybe Randy can be the AD of 2010?

P.S. Post game presser available on the Pats' site: http://www.patriots.com/mediacenter/

ETA: Over now, and the ink-stained wretches and talking heads are sure to spin Moss' statements into a huge issue. Oh Boston media, how we (don't) love thee.

I think saying it was a meltdown was overreacting, still, he should of keep his mouth shut...

Maybe Randy needs to sit the next couple of plays out.

link? 10chhhar

We're watching on TV. There is no link. I'm sure ESPN, Boston.com, SI.com and others will have it all later. Do a Google news search in about 15 minutes and you'll have links galore.

I see someone put a link above. There you go.

JHC, can you imagine CHB's column tomorrow? And, it was really humorous reading him this morning dissing Brady's hairstyle. Ya think CHB has looked in the mirror recently?

I think the media will now say, "See, this is what we mean." And ... I got nothing in response.

NFL network about to show it on gamepass

At least this clears up the definition of dogfaker. It must mean mentally fragile or nutcase.

If he sounds more Depressed then angry then he is scared that he will turn into what TO went thought and doesn't want to have that.

For any one who has been stressed abut there future scared what it entails and is out of your control then you HAVE to talk to people about what is stressign you out this is what is going to happen.

I'd bet Brady's yearly salery amount that the Krafts and BB wil have a sit down with RM ASAP and get it worked out

What it was was one of the most self absorbed exercises I've seen since TO did those situps in the driveway. This was a POST GAME TEAM PRESSER. BB, Tom, Moss for some reason and Welker. Randy went out their and intentionally made it all about him for what seemed like hours but was actually probably 20 minutes or more...just kept diggin' the hole deeper all the while seemingly not getting it...

Wow!

I haven't been in this forum since last season, but I had to check out what people were saying about this.

I think "meltdown" may be a bit of an overstatement but what a train-wreck of a presser. Can't wait to hear what Felger has to say about this tomorrow!

it's on NFLN now, or at least parts of it. What I'm listening to seems to be more about hating the Boston media than anything- I assume the contract stuff is coming next.

At least as far as the fans and media go, I agree with him: some people want to see him fail, and I dunno why. Still a bad move on his part, though, even acknowledging it.

Honestly, after the buildup on this thread, I didn't think it was all that bad. He wasn't very disciplined, and he shouldn't have said it, but the mistake that he made was being way too forthcoming. As a private sentiment, nothing that he said would bother me at all.

Nothing that he said was any worse than what Wilfork was publicly saying just a few months ago.

I guess I'll pick this to be my first post on this forum, after lurking around for over a year.

Are you guys kidding?
You guys are mad at Moss, who was at almost every practice, worked hard throughout this game, and put so much effort into this off-season for wanting a new contract,

but barely mad at Mankins who didn't even show up because he didn't get what he wanted?

Moss is upset, but he's not mad and "dogging it." He's not holding out or insulting the Patriots organization.

He's just stating he's upset that he didn't even get offered a contract while many of the other great players have been getting theirs.

He just wants an extension to stay with the Patriots.
An extension he deserves.
Why doesn't he have it yet, after all the success he's brought?
I'm as upset as he is.

I didn't watch it, so excuse me if I'm wrong about something, but from the comments, he sounds pretty justified.
