I am a man of my word and I will say, I was wrong. A lot of you guys told me the Dolphins wern't that good, and even though you were mostly right, no one can tell me they saw this coming. I seriously have no idea why the offense is so bad. The Pats looked good today and beat a very good team on the road. I still hate them, but they look like the much better team. I'm not throwing in the towel, but the season sure looks gloomy for the Fins. A win next week would change my mind, but we couldn't beat any one right now.

hey, atleast you showed up

finheaven looks like a tornado went through it...actually its still going through it

And it will remain that way until the Dolphins play like they can. You have no idea how tough this season has been on me. After 4 very disapointing seasons, we finally get some expectations, only to have them crash and burn miserablly. Feel free to take your shots while I'm down, but I will always come back despite the records.

You see, we DID say that.

But you chose to believe all the hype:

I saw the fins game earlier, and all I have to comment is: Wow, that was a great game against the Bengals by the Pats. Wow.

I though Miami was overrated, but I really didn't think they were this bad. But kudos to you for showing up here.

I'll tell you why the Dolphins are bad on offense: IT'S THE LINE. I've said this all offseason, and it's the truth. Culpepper is not very good, but he's better than what he's shown. The offensive line gets no push in the running game, and routinely allows the pocket to collapse in the passing game. A bad combination, with no playaction to protect Daunte and the line allowing him and his happy feet to face a lot of heat from the other team's defensive line. I don't care if you have Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Walter Payton, Kellen Winslow (Sr.) and Mark Bavaro at your skill positions, if the offensive line sucks you won't win. Period. It's the same reason the Patriots lost last week and the passing game looked bad - not the receivers, bad offensive line play. They dominated the Bengals today because the line play was excellent. Hope that Saban and company spend some draft picks on linemen next draft.

The Patriots are thin. They're old. Miami is ready to take over and win the AFC....bla bla bla bla.

At least you have the stones to admit you were wrong

I thought Chambers and Culpepper were going to really get it going this season. So far,I would say you were better off with Feeley. McMichael and Chambers were much better off without Daunte and frankly your offensive line has taken a major step back. Actually I think your team has the worst offensive line in the entire NFL. Besides that key component I think you guys are really good.

Nice of you to come around. The problem I had with Miami was with Culpepper and the O-Line, which so far I've been quite prophetic. I dont think Miami is as bad as they've looked, but like I said, if they go 9-7 again, their season is a success..

Your presence here is impressive. You are the anti-troll.

Aqua is an okay kid. He has his moments, as all opposing fans seem to, but he's alright.

Props to you, Aqua. Let's put the smack behind us and talk some football.

Obviously, Miami is a big underdog for next week, but I remember well when you beat us under Jim Bates. If they have any heart and pride at all they'll play at full tilt next week (we can take that for granted from Wes Welker).

The Patriots took a big step forward this week and we're enjoying it -- rightly. But an injury to a wide receiver or a linebacker would make it tough for us. On the other hand, I do think that the Patriots coaches will have no trouble guarding against overconfidence and Culpepper is a serious problem.

Nice to see some class from the Phins.. personally I love to watch Pats games with my Phin fan friends... sometimes I make up some dolphin stew...

I think Saban is a good coach, he has yet to really show it on the field. I think the Culpepper acquisition was ill advised, and Ricky and his Doobie have created some gaps. With Williams and Brown in the backfield, it could cover up for a mediocre o line and give any qb some time to throw. But an immobile qb and not a change of pace coming out of the backfield has set them back.

Aqua: Thank you for being man enough to admit you're wrong.

OTOH, it could be worse. You could be a Raiders fan right now.

Hey, it's only four games. There are 12 more to be played. I'd rather be 3-1 than 1-3 but there's a long wasy to go.

Let's hope that the Fish don't find themselves this Sunday.

Their OL is taking more heat than they should. IMO, Culpepper is the main problem. I read somewhere he is averaging 5 sacks a game since Randy Moss was traded. He is holding the ball too long and is unsure what to do about it. This isn't related to the knee, it goes back to Minnesota.

Culpepper looks dreadful. It is only a matter of time before they go to Joey Harrington. That is kind of sad for them, since he sucks. Harrington looks good in stretches, but he is too jumpy in live action. If his first read isn't there he gives up on the play and tries to ad-lib or run.

Next week's game is big, because the Pats could basically bury the Dolphins and build a solid early lead in the division before the bye by going 3-0 within the division. It is a very big early-season game.

You seem like a stand up fan. I'm very surprised by the Dolphins. Thought they played pretty well against the Steelers but wasn't surprised they lost. I thought they'd pretty easily win their next 3 and that the Pats vs Fins game this weekend would be a big showdown. My preseason picks were that the Pats would edge out the Fins for the division but that Miami would make the playoffs as a wild card. So I thought Miami would be very solid and I'm surprised by their start.

Is it just me or does Saban look like Billy Bob Thornton?

It's the old axiom - games are won and lost in the trenches.

That being said, I believe many observers are right in pointing out that Culpepper is a large contributor to their offensive problems. Maybe Miami thought they were getting the 2000 version of the guy, but it appears they badly miscalulated on this.

Harrington could make his first appearance soon, but this is no panacea.

Miami's first order of business in the off-season is a major reconstruction of that O-line. All else will flow from that.
