The only thing I know about Fletcher is from the few write-ups I've seen, which have all sounded good,,

How would you describe him?

Did he play in the Atlanta game???
(Which I have on tape)

McGowan to IR so we should have one more spot. I think for Jarvis Green or maybe Hartwig who was also cut.

Re: Sam Aiken gone too

I always liked him until the last few games last year as a receiver, he pissed me off more than any other player.

May be a good chance that Page gets activated by week 1 and someone is cut/moved to the ps. With 7 DL my first guess would be Love or Deadrick

CORRECTION: 1 expemption and 1 suspended player and 1 to IR.
We appear to have an open spot (which we may not even fill in Ojinakka's place)
Also, Fletcher would be in the group likely to go to the ps as well

Updated for now

If Kelley Washington is available, I cant see how we can justify keeping Slater and not going after him.

BB really likes Slater and his special teams skills.

Re: Sam Aiken Gone too

Exactly

Horrid WR.

They didn't bring him in to be a WR, circumstance is the only reason he played WR as much as he did.

Slater is much faster than Washington, a gunner has to cover a lot of ground after beating two guys, not comparable - Washington is not going to replace Slater.

Matthew Slater is the best ST gunner I've ever seen. Yes, that is all he does, but he does it exceptionally well.

Well he's played sparingly in the Pats preseason. He was primarily playing inside, but he was an olb in college, and one of the big sky's all time sack leaders, and TFL's. I'm not sure how his coverage skills are, but if he can get even remotely close to the production he had in college, he could eventually become our rush specialist. He's obviously a bit raw coming from a small school, but he has the tools both physically and mentally to be a contributor in the nfl. Yes he did play in the Atlanta game. I know he was in there relatively early to.

So Slater, Love, Fletcher, and Thomas Williams made it?

Thanks for clearing that up. Its so hard for me to get the Matt Slater kick return against the Steelers out of my head, that until a full understanding of his value from you, he's never gotten off my hate list. Ill have to watch him a bit more closer in those situations.

Saying Slater is the best special teams gunner you have ever seen, you must not have seen Steve Tasker. But it is obv that Slater is one of BB favorites. He literally was out all preseason and still made it.

Andy - Page was one of the RFAs who was holding out. I believe he has to miss 3 games and is exempt until that time. I could be wrong, but I believe that is the case.
