They could upset the whole applecart couldn't they?? Why not ..THAt is what you want.. I disagree with them when it makes sense to..NOTHING anyone has said makes any sense about keeping the Twig..

I saw plenty of reasons why keeping him, or making alternate plans in the event he got away (beyond trading for Doug Gabriel) might have been a good idea.

if branch had played he would been covered as welll..stop blaming branch defection..its more of branch and givens both gone which is the problem...branch alone wouldnt have been good this yr..IMHO...
all said and done
BRADY SHOULD NOT THROW THE BALL OUT ON 3RD AND 10 WITH 4 MINS TO GO !!! ITS REALLY STUPID..EVEN BRANCH CANT CATCH IT..I THINK HE MAY BE PHYSICALLY HURT TOO FOR ALL WE KNOW

Brady just hasn't been the same player without him........Our ogffens eis now a major liability and our leader is obviously unhappy. Brady's unhappiness has an effect on our entire team.............Maybe 2 or 3 years from now the Branch decision will be the right one, but right now............I think it was the wrong one. If your QB.....Team Leader.....Best thing to happen to the Franchise had great Chemistry with Branch and he wanted him there, the FO should have took care of it. Of course we have our system, but if it causes your star QB to become disinterested and unhappy....I 'm not sure it's worth it.

Anyone who thought we would be better this year without DB was fooling themselves. The Patriot FO knew this. They are not football ignorant. This was a move about the future. This was a move about how we do business. We put a value on a guy and a position. DB wanted more than we felt his value was. Why in the hell would we throw out our way of doing business? It has proven very successful has it not? For all the fans who want instant gratification, there are plenty of other teams to root for that will pay almost anything to win right now. The Patriots aren't on that program. You need to deal with that fact. Does it suck this year? Yes. However, absolutely, positively, unequivocably are we not to go the win right now route. We have 3 of the last 5 SB's. How do you think we did that in the salary cap era? Everybody calm down. It is week 3. We sucked a lot worse last year into week 8 or 9. Wer found a way to make a run anyway. I have faith we will again this year. Lastly, Forget DB for god's sake. He is gone! Buh Bye!

Would Deion have tackled Jevon Walter tonight? Then "F" Deion. This team and fans have become a bunch of F*GS over him and I am sick of it. Talking about him won't change anything.
What was that SH*T with Rodney crying over Deion promo during the game all about? We should stop whining about Deion and get ready for the Bengals because they are a hell of a lot better than Denver on offense.

We have a value and system, that places a value on players and we don't break that. What is the value of keeping the most important player in the history of your Franchise happy. I would rank it as very important! People keep focusing on Deion's value, but if his departure is going to cause your QB to become disenfranchised with things, that increases his value!

We got SCREWED by two greedy players. This team should have Ty Law and Deion Branch on it.

The reality is , most Players in the NFL are greedy, we will really be narrowing our talent pool if we eliminate those players!!

Happiness and contentment come from within and do not depend on the presence of any external X. If you give in to Brady by overpaying for Branch, then what do you do when Brady goes into a similar funk if Koppen leaves, for example. These so-called friends of Brady are saying good-bye and taking the money. If Branch was such a bud, he'd be here. Besides, the front office spent virtually every pick in the draft to shore up the offense. Brady is a highly paid professional. It is sad to see him acting like a Manning-like diva.

Right O.

Caldwell sucks. You've seen Gabriel's appearin' act, but you ain't seen nothun until you see his disappearin' act.

Puhlease! If TB needs to be sated by paying a player not at the end of his contract anything he wants, then TB is a disappointment waiting to happen. I don't believe that CROCK for a second. TB will play as TB always plays which is giving it his all. What, TB hasn't layed an egg when DB was here? Sniveling fans will be "Deion who" if and when the wins start coming. One loss after week 3 and this is the reaction of some? After the way this team has delivered the goods over the last 5 years? Pretty pathetic and sadly laughable is the phrase that fits right now.....

I think we're underestimating the impact of Weis and Crennel leaving. The playcalling has been mediocre on offense. The defense has forgotten how to force turnovers and stop teams on 3rd down. This is the second time in a row that the Pats have crapped the bed against a sloppy Denver offense. Third time in a row that they've lost to them.

I still think the Patriots are going to play better in the second half than they are now in the early going. I'm not giving up on them, they should still win the division. But it's time to stop assuming that this is an elite team. Between the changes on offense, defense, and coaching, the Patriots will remain competitive but be just another team. They aren't elite, not even close, at least not now.

And if you think that DB gone means TB is not giving his all, then you are correct. It is pointless to debate with you. You are in some sort of hissy fit, one game loss and the sky is falling zone. People like you are the stereotypical fan. After a loss you know better as to why the sky is falling and those of us who apply context just aren't getting it like you. Yeah, right.

Everyone around the world other then some PatsFans can clearly see Brady hasn't been into the games........There comes a point when enough people see the same thing.....HMMMMM there might just be something there!!

I agree with you to an extent. We aren't an elite team. Any player who thought we were should get a kick in the ass. I don't think that is the case however. Every season and every week is a proving ground. The separation of bottom and top teams is simply not that great any given week. Many games are decided by a few plays. The Patriots, even in the SB years, had to dig and scratch out victories. I fully expect by December we will be digging and scratching out our share and more of the victory pie. BB preaches after every SB year and every year for that matter that this is this year and not last year. But do not make the mistake that others are making that the beginning of the season and one loss defines a team. It doesn't. If it did, we should not have won the SB in 02. We should not have been in the hunt last year. If we are doing what we did tonight in Novemeber and December? We then will have defined ourselves without question and I will be greatly disappointed.

Most everybody around the world? Such drama. I'm sure there are plenty of others who don't subscribe to the knee jerk, player A isn't here so it must be that he misses him and just can't seem to give it the old college try. I subscribe to the TB has new players that may not be as explosive as last years players and has some timing, chemistry and adjustments to get used to, while still maintaining full confidence in TB that his competetive spirit and will has not gone anywhere. Feel free to disbelieve that and believe that he just can't muster up the will cause DB is gone. Your approval of my belief and vice versa is not required.
