I'm doing fine. It's cool and rainy here in the mid south today, but we'll take it. The battery in my car died unexpectedly last week and it turned out to be quite a project to get that taken care of. But all seems to be well now. I had to go buy a new collar and leash for my dog today after he broke his other collar. He's such a rascal. Other than that, things are great. Thanks for asking.

:D

Oh yeah, and I'm really looking forward to seeing my first Pats game of the year on TV this week. Go Pats!

Jonathan Kraft gave the college I work for (he is an alum) 60 tickets to the Rolling Stones concert that was Wednesday night at Gillette. I didn't go, but one of my co-workers did and she said they were awesome seats!

I broke out the leather boots today..........sandal weather is almost over with :(

Hungover all day today. Left work early and got a haircut. Had a small fight with my wife. Good matzo ball soup for dinner. Wrote a lame post on patsfans.

I love reading the responses to posts like this. You guys crack me up...keep it up! Strippers must be sent to the infirmed and the hungover. Somebody get on it.

Seriously TN, I feel your pain. Transplanted to NC and understand no Pats to view on a regular basis s****!

Looks like rainy crappy weekend here. But, you guys in NE are used
to that. I'm wiped out hectic week. Parents visiting from Fla. Just left
this am. Was a surprise visit so didn't really have time to plan anything.
Not that there's a lot to do here this time of year anyway. On
Friday nights I announce hs football after working during day. Am in
serious need of more sleep. Parents are fine. Kid hates school. But,
she's good other than that. Sent resume to Pats front office applying
for job.

Going to try and take a nap before this afternoon. Will watch
the PSU/OSU game and go out for a couple of cold ones. I'll be antsy
all day tomorrow because we don't play until 815p. Hopefully,
I'm not bored enough to watch the Sox.

I'm well, thanks. We were over at Miss Gomezcat's parents for Rosh Hashanah last night and just got back. The weather is unseasonably warm for London- it is 70 F and bright. Oh, and we're watching one of the ST Next Generation reruns. We are going out tonight for a beer or two... or three, or.... :D

Other than a minor heart attack, some diabetic neuropathy problems, bad eyesight, pains in all of my joints, a major sinus headache problem, the runs, bad cough, not to mention a really nasty toothache....things aint too bad today. Yesterday was a lot worse. Eh, what's that you say sonny, speak up, i can't hear too good.

:D

only some 'small' problems...

Enjoying a rainy day in my nice little one-bedroom apartment in Cambridge, Mass. Mysterious network problem on the internet but went for slow jog along the river, came back, bought a few groceries.

Trying to find an acceptable U.S. beer available locally. Made a big mistake buying a pack of Coors Light the other night. Remember Coors being delicious many years ago but this was disgusting. (Sam Adams is OK but a bit Germanic for me. Tried a couple of Summer Sams last night and they were better, although I prefer a bit more "life" in a beer.)

Watched the third quarter of Michigan-Wisconsin. Chad Henne trying to be as useless as Brady Quinn (but no one will try to recruit him for a boyband any time soon!) Mario Manningham is the REAL DEAL. Unfortunately, this will not be a secret by the time he is drafted.

Just kidding, of course. :D

Other than that, Mr. Buckner, how was Game 6?

Didn't you move to the wrong place for beer? I've had a couple (cough!) pints of London Pride tonight. I am in the process of converting Miss Gomezcat to real ale, via IPA and the lighter stuff. If you like, I can drink one for you next time. I agree about Sam Adams; it's OK, but reminds me of Altbier.

Sorry, mate. I didn't have a beer for you, specifically. To make up for that, I am drinking a measure of Bailey's from an eggcup. Does that count?

Well, it has its advantages. Nice folks and wall-to-wall football at the weekend. I guess I'd like all that AND delicious beer.

My favourite London beer is Young's, so think of me next time you have one. Oh, and go easy on that Rosh Hashanah stuff -- next thing you know they'll be trying to introduce you to the mohel. ;)

 I think that this is a question that answers itself. Baileys, indeed! Next thing you'll be telling me that you're getting out that bottle of ouzo that's been sitting in the back of the cupboard since that holiday in Corfu ...

I must be getting old- still feel hungover from my Thursday night binge. Today was spent in shul, avoiding shul, chasing the kids, sneaking a quickie, taking a nap with my 2 year old... and planning tomorrow's excursion up to Gillette. I cannot wait. Going to try to sleep 10 hours in preparation. I'm going to be screaming like a little beeyotch from section 125.

I'm a Labatt Blue man.

I'm trying to do the right thing by the (kind of) in-laws, with this Rosh Hashanah/ passover/ hannukah thing. I just asked Jo what mohel meant and she told me. Ouch!

Young's is nice but the brewery is in the process of closing. I'm not sure where it is moving to. Nice people and wall to wall football is something I'm very envious of, tbh.

I like Molson Ice :)

Which I am drinking right now waiting to go out with my girls :D
