Amen, Nutty! Where were these guys when we were voting on troll of the year??

Unfortunately, the only one to take the bait so far is a Patriot fan.

Now look what you've done. You have cause infighting amongst PATS fans which includes insults, insensitivity, and frustration. Quit being a Nancy and deal with smack talk from these Denver and Indy trolls or thought provoking posts from me. If you want to ban people like you claim in 90% of your posts then why don't you move to a Communist country. This isn't brain surgery here. Lighten up and I agree with one of your own PATS fans and that is grtow some will you.

Funny because i was banned from a steeler board for the same thing....

I didn't mean to offend anyone. Trolls just tend to bring out the worst in me.

See, that's the problem with trolls. They bring out the worst in many people. We have one here now doing just that, and yet another encouraging patsfans posters to go smack trolling on Denver boards. Smack trolling is the pastime of idiots. Like alcoholics they always want others to drink with them. It validates what they do.

I know Ian apparently felt some pressure a while back to ascede to the wishes of some transient posters from a rival Pats board to allow trolling posts on the main board because in their view it added to the experience. I disagree - all it does is cheapen the experience and make this board as a community look like a bunch of idiot yahoo fans. Ian created a seperate place for that on this board, as he has for Soxtalk. I just wish he would re-think his recent relaxed policy on trolling and be more consistent in enforcing his own smack talk rule.

And in the case of the trolls in question today, all they are bringing to the board is smack (and potential disention).

I appreciate it, bro. I can relate.

I usually just ignore it but today I just wasn't able to.
Just FYI, I'm in a very similar boat as you. 9 times out of 10 I bite my tongue and ignore it, but it's one word that just burns my ass and I lose a little respect for those that use it. Note that it doesn't bother me in the least if someone were to say, for example to a troll "You're being ******ed" ....but "You're being a ******" makes my bile rise. Weird huh?

In addition, if one is seeking to insult another's intelligence, one should seek to avoid intellectual laziness in said pursuit. :D

By the way, I'm not piling on here, I know it wasn't meant to offend (anyone other than the troll it was used on) just thought CTPats might like to know he's certainly not alone.

Hey Pats fans, the best therapy for troll irritation is becoming a troll yourself. You should head over to www.orangemane.com to chat with some Broncs fans. Barring idiots typical to any message board, the folks there are chill, respectful and pretty knowledgeable when it comes to football. They're cool if you are, much like people here.

That's just ******ed. :p

There is an old saying: The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I don't want to say what my intentions were, because the children are listening.

To all the Patriots Fans, with one notible exception, I do regret that this thread turned into a negitive thing. Now, maybe we can kiss and make up. I'll take Bills Girl, and you guys can decide which poster you want to kiss.;)

Quit wasting our time with idiot crybaby threads like this. Maybe you'd be better off at a Puppet Show Discussion Board or Needlepointing. You'll be nice and safe and won't get your feelings hurt.

I just put several on that list. I think it should be called "dead to me" list.

I highly recommend it.
Heh.. that would be funny if their posts were highlighted as ...
" This message is hidden because PATSummerallofthe80s is on your Dead to Me list."

instead of :
"This message is hidden because PATSummerallofthe80s is on your ignore list."

Maybe that's why in the old days we called them "Kill Files"? :)

I think it is such a pu--y move to call for the banning of people just because they talk smack and annoy you.

It's a free country, and as long as they don't violate the forum rules, nobody should be banned.
