We’re now roughly ten practices into Patriots training camp, have yet to see a preseason game or scrimmage, and yet you might already be sick of hearing about Brady’s contract, Burgess’ retirement, the franchise’s decline or the failure of the team in recent drafts.

If it is this bad now, how will it be as the season goes along, especially if the team does struggle in bringing along so many young players, and if the Brady contract doesn’t get done before the start of the season?

Good stuff. Good call on Rapoport. I know that his paper's got a lot to make up for with Pats fans, because of Rapoport's predecessor-who-shall-not-be-named, but it's always a fun read with him.

Just skimmed it, didn't see our own Chris Price mentioned. He's solid too.

great analysis! I would have included something of the PFW boys for the radio section or a separate section for podcasts for their pfw in-progress, training camp-casts, and roster reports. They provide a lot of content for the fans.

Basically little to quibble with (sadly) except Gresh and Zo periodically make my ears bleed, together they are a match made in hell who tend to bring out the worst in each other. The only thing remotely worth listening to on the Sports Hub is DA...but who listens to the radio from 6-midnight...

Anything Comcast (and therefore Felger) is involved in is a colossal waste of time before you even factor in pairing him with that bitter, twisted little squeeker with the voice and face for print... I think that's what happened to Curren, after bombing out as a national mediot and getting passed over for Chris Price on the WEEI blog and Sunday Football gig he went to the dark side with Felger (who is already on like his third package combo of TV/media outlets in the last 4-5 seasons...always with Tanguay and his FSNE toadies in tow...).

I steer clear of CSN. It's mind numbingly terrible. Everything they say is negative, EVERYTHING. The Patriots could win every game by 40 and go 19-0 and they'd still nitpick something. And they all act like they're trying to be cool guys or something which is beyond annoying.

I like Mike Reis, whether it's online or on TV. I feel he gives the best actual information in a world filled with BS "analysis".

In total agreement. Miserotti also makes my ears bleed.

Loved it when Tanguay said he could tell what Brady was thinking when he talked about his contract. "He was pissed. I could see it in his eyes."

Wow.

Thanks for the laugh! Spot on, as usual.

Good read - Bruce Allen usually gets it right............I read his stuff on a regular basis, highly recommend.

Spot on! It is what I have been ranting about for the last year or so (and you all thought I was nutz). Felger is the King of Douches having taken over from Borges.

And yes Gresh and Zo are excellent. Unfortunately many on this board evaluate Gresh based on appearance instead of what he says. Listen and try to purge that mental picture of the big doofus from your mind; Gresh is as well spoken as anyone on the local airwaves and he is a football guy without being a negative douche like Felger.

DA slipped in my book when he got on the manufactured Hate-Moss bandwagon. Moss is one the best things that ever happened to the Patriots and these guys can't stand it.

I agree with you about Gresh when he talkes about football, when he talks baseball is when his ignorance shines.

Agreed it is bad but it is an order of magnitude better than listening to Utility Lou Merloni or the Sean McAdam talk Patriots; ever heard that? Makes me want to hurl. I can listen to Gresh on the Sox but not Lou or Sean talk football. Even Mikey Adams is like a fish out of water talking football.

What I cannot understand is why The Sports Hub even bothers with the freaking Red Sox; if I was a Red Sox nerd I would be locked into WEEI. What is really aggravating is the stupid Baseball Writers Report; this usually takes place while Tito is being interviewed on WEEI; WTF? If you are a baseball geek who would you rather listen to? Duh Tito.

The Sports Hub should be football during that hour and kick WEEI's sorry butt.
