Well if that's not the kiss of death, I don't know what is.

Now if we can just get a team pic of the JESTS on the cover of Sports Illustrated, everything else will fall into place nicely... :D

#1? What a joke.

For all the talk about the Jets "going all in", as Banks puts it, this offseason, the truth is they lost more than they gained. Faneca, Washington and Jones were huge losses on the offensive side of the ball. They lost Marques Douglas. Kerry Rhodes.

If they were going all in, they would've retained those guys.

I think he just did it like the NBA lottery

"ok these are my top 10 teams but i am too lazy to accully think and pick so i'll let this random generator do it for me then make a crappy blub""

The jests remind me of the Skins teams Snyder put together.....How's that worked out. It seems when you put that many names on a team it doesn't pan out.

These people don't seem to remember Rexy crying after the rats lost all those games in november and december, and lucked into the play offs.

7 months ago today, the Jets were 7-7 and down 9-0 against a Colts team that was playing a glorified scrimmage. Even then, it took a kickoff return TD and Painter strip sack TD to get the Jets the win.

If there was a power ranking after the 1st quarter of that game, the Jets would have likely been in the 20's. In the 7 months since then, the Jets have played 4 games (plus 3 quarters), beating the Painter-led Colts, the Bengals twice and the Chargers. In those 7 months, the Jets have lost players (Jones, Faneca, Washington, Sheppard, Rhodes) and gained players (LdT, Cromartie, Pool, Holmes, Jenkins plus draft). You can argue if they are better or worse but they haven't materially changed the makeup of the team.

Can anyone explain how the Jets have jumped 20+ teams in the last 7 months, going 2-1 in games where the opposition was trying to win? Seems to me that the whole argument is built on Sanchez (offseason surgery with recovery time nearly equivalent to Welker) making a huge leap forward. If Sanchez becomes a top 10 QB, the Jets make the playoffs and contend for the division. If not, the Jets are a 0.500 team looking for charity in December.

Yeah, yeah, but they have SWAGGER, and the Patriots are just so BORING :p :p :p

If the Jets divided their roster in half and played 2 full schedules they would be 38-0. That's how good they are.

I've said enough about how overhyped the Jets are.

I want to know why the Falcons are above the Patriots....

Yes the jets have buried the needle on the Swag-O-meter, and i guess that means that there the team to beat.

What?

Last I heard Welker was on the PUP list.

I think the Miami Heat and NY Jets should have a new kind of competition, let's call it a "swagger-off", a competition designed to decide who has hyped themselves more without yet actually achieving anything. Ideally, the competition would end with the entirety of both rosters being swallowed into the fiery depths of hell to burn for eternity, but I'm not going to get greedy.

I really don't care about preseason predictions and power rankings. I have always said that preseason ranking and predictions are like butts. Everyone has one and most of them stink.

I would love for that to happen that is not greedy at all.

and the reason Atlanta is ahead is cause he did it with a random generator

Is all a ploy to get HBO better ratings....Hows that hard knocks thing worked out for the other teams:cool::cool:

Before anyone coronates The jets remember Mark sanchez will be playing for his second season. Take a look, what is the history of Second year Quarterbacks in the NFL ? It's not as good as You think.

As opposed to first year QB history?
