The Crumplinator coming to camp in great physical shape would be like an early Christmas..................... Nice!

He has become Uncrumpled.

I'm just excited that on paper at least we have a diverse set of people who can catch the ball. It might let Brady get back to his favorite receiver is the open one mantra instead of having to rely so heavily on Welker and Moss. If defenses have to respect a few more guys on each offensive possession, it should really help.

5 TE formation in 2011, coming to a New England team near you.

Indeed.

Brady definitely started to depend too much on his two guys, and his play suffered because other teams knew where the ball was going before it was thrown. You only had two likely suspects. :D

None of this really matters though, guys. The Jets have already won the division.

Maybe there trying to be like the Saints where they have 8 legit options spread out through RB-TE-WR to throw to.

Yea, they absolutely annihilated the division. Number one defense, Sanchez throwing for 30 tds and 6 ints, not to mention LT's 2000 yard season. We didn't stand a chance. I feel sorry for the Bills though, losing 43-0 and 51-3.

That's exactly what I think there trying to do. Have legit receiving threats everywhere. Then throw Hernandez in there lining up all over the field; defenses won't know who to focus on.

Crumpler is never going to be the top weapon TE for us ... but this is very belichickian as he wants the opposition to always be aware that Crumpler may be out in the flat.;)

:ditto: Sanchize for MVP :bricks:

Well, he did go 496-372-5424-45-8 for a QB rating of 133.321.

I for one feels that he deserves it.

blasphemy....its Mark Sanchez were talking about....

he should be projected with 372 ATTEMPTS, and 496 COMPLETIONS

Every offensive play has five eligible receivers, no more no less.

You are missing his point. One of the ways the Saints created mismatches was by varying the people on the field. And they did so successfully because they had 8 different guys that Brees felt more than comfortable going to with the ball. Kinda like the Pats of 2003 and 2004.

I have failed the Sanchize.

I agree, I would be surprised if the Jets even allowed one touchdown the entire season. Sanchez is probably going to throw about 100 touchdowns with no interceptions as well.

I am pleased that Crumpler is getting in shape...seems like he is serious about his stint with the Pats. GREAT to have him in the fold as a contributing vet. The rookies will add a lot of youth and as many have said will make this group diverse. Having all 3 on the roster is a big plus..as the last two years it has been mostly two....Last year Watson and Baker....in 08 Watson and Thomas (later in the year rookie Devries). It is exciting and while there might not be a big threat like Watson, this group might be able to do a lot more. Also of note is that two PSquad players from last year Agnone and Meyers will be in camp...one possibly added to the PSquad..if they think they could be a prospect.
