Option A is doable for multiple reasons...although kinda sick and disgusting, then again that could also sum up the Jets fans' feelings towards constantly losing every year :D

Option B sounds like a plea from a married guy :p

It's comedic relief in this lean time between the end of the draft and the start of rookie mini-camps and OTAs

Last year it was Patrick Chungisms...

My favorite was the Vollermism thread, e.g., "Superman wears Vollmer pajamas to bed."

To speak to your last point, in acertain sense I know myself personally felt thagt if you took the trades out of the picture and it was a strictly player selection, I think I could hold my own with nfl gms. Last 5 yrs for belichick haven't exactly been great picks. I would take wilsons upside over mccourty as well. Bellichick is the same guy who inexplicably took maroney over deangelo
Thats why i give them credit for 7-7. They were the only playoff team who got in because an opponent that was beating them, and clearly would have, gave up.

No it doesnt. Thats my point. They changed some players, there is no more reason to believe they will improve the team than make it worse, and the bad character issues you imported are certainly a reason to be concerned.

You better hope he does because it seems that he is going to end up being a lot more than a situaitonal pass rusher. Tomlinson is through, thats obvious.

Cromartie struggled in everything. He made a probowl solely because of ints. hardly a full gauge of cb play. Care to guess how many probowls Sheppard made? Both were unwanted by their former teams, you found out about Sheppard, and will find out about Cromartie too.

Yup, as soon as he is gone, then he was never any good. I can't believe that your OL coach is high on a player, I guess that clinches it, how could I doubt a player that a coach is high on:eek:

A wild guess. Sanchez is still the same guy who was ranked what, about 30th among starting QBs?

we shall see

Gotcha. So Bill Belichick scouts both players, watches all of the film, speaks to their coaches, speaks to them, and gets his choice of the 2, but your opinion that Wilson is far and away a better prospect is more accurate? So you can do a better job evaluating the pro potential of collee football players than Bill Belichick? Please explain to me what methods you used to do a better scouting jon than BB.[/QUOTE]

kyle wilson got torched throughout his entire senior season. Bust pick.

Here is my thing with the Jets:

They got worse in the running game by letting Faneca go. Sorry, but Fergie and Goldilocks haven't shown they can handle themselves without him..

Add to that, Thomas Jones, at this point, is a better RB than LT..

Yeah, they have Shonn Greene, but, again, he's never run without Faneca there.

Cromartie isn't as good as he used to be thanks to his hip injury.. Plus he's always had issues tackling..

It remains to be seen whether Holmes can click with this group.

And.. umm.. i'll finish this thought later..

OK. Well you have now lost every ounce of credibility with me. Carry on. Post whatever you want, I'll read it as if you are a 6 year old.

Because I disagreed with what you had to say? Or that I dare question a bb draft selection. I would rather have wilson over mccourty n I felt that way predraft. Side note I hate fans who play the who are you to question xxxx he's the gm of blank you are a fan

Mangold was good his rookie year before faneca with the worst guard in football adrien clarke, and I love the 180 on faneca on this board. You would think this guy is steve hutchinson the way you expect everything to unravel bc of a washed guard as you guys called him a month ago

well, first off, you are posting blocked images...waste bandwidth at Gangrene not here

secondly, anyone who thinks they "can do just as good a job" as any football professional has got rocks in their head.I can only assume you play "fantasy" football and the line between reality and fairy tale land has become obliterated.

I'm not going to buy into the title of this post.

However, the Jets have had some players the last couple of years that were said to be team leaders, and players that other players liked and respected, like Leon Washington, Rhodes, Thomas Jones, and Alan Faneca.

This is a lead in to a huge concern I would legitimately have, if I were a Jets fan.

All of the aforementioned players were uncerimoniously kicked off the team, for lack of a more gentle way of saying it.

Then, they add players like LaCrymian Tomlinson, Baby Mama Chromartie, SanTokio Holmes (adding) to Bart "The Mouth" Scott, Calvin "PED Suspension" Pace, and Headcase Braylon Edwards. Just suddenly alot of "out with the character guys", and in with the "problem children".

I'm telling you this approach is a recipe for disaster! When Pittsburgh, SD, and Cleveland are in such a hurry to get rid of some players with issues, and you put them all on one team, while unloading some of the more stable locker room guys, bad things usually happen.

As a Pats fan, I LOVE that they are doing this. It never turns out well.

P.S. - At least FIVE of the Patriots draft picks were their team's Captain this past season. "Leaders" vs. the Jets approach of "Cancers".

K-Ro, I would legitimately like to know your response to my post on character, a couple of posts above. I'm not throwing dirt. I think it'll be a huge problem for you guys. In fact, two seconds after I posted it, I see a post that Holmes was escorted off a plane for bad behavior yesterday.

I'm telling you, this won't be the last issue.

what's really pathetic is a thread titled "jets suck" has been the #1 thread on a pats fan site for the past 2 days. talk about insecurity.

here it is: pats are teh awesome, jets stink. can we end this now?

insecurity? Your team hasnt been revelent for 40 years.

You don't like it? Tough ****, go back to your own board

No disrespect intended, but despite the banter that goes down on this site, I highly doubt you're going to find too many people insecure about the Jets.

We've been hearing about how the Jets are going to win the Super Bowl since 1970. Not exactly the kind of record that breeds insecurity. Let's be real!

Because you think you can evaluate players in the draft better than people who are paid millins of dollars because of their ability to do so, while at the same time ignoring that you have about 2% of the information that they use to make the decision.
Hate it all you want, but you are wrong. These guys have studied every film on these players. They have interviewed them. They have done background checks. They have interviewed their coaches about them.
On top of that, they know what to look for. They are TRAINED football people, and you are a fan with no training or particular skills.
Please explain to me all of the work that you put in to judging between these players. How many scouts are on your payroll to give their opinions to. Also please outline for me what your qualifications are to assess football players. Where did you train? Who taught you how to study film? Where was your education on cornerback techniques? How did you get coaches film, so you could see the entire play, understand the play call and goal of the defense on that call, etc, etc.
I don't care who you wanted pre-draft, I am saying that you have no qualification to make that judgment and did none of the work necessary to make it properly even if you were qualified.
But humor me, please, and break down your analysis of how you evaluated these players, what you saw as the differences in raw skill, in consistency of their play, of use of various techniques, their strengths, weaknesses, why you feel that way, what is their ability to overcome the weaknesses. How does they physically measure up? What will 6 months in the weight room do for each? What is their injury history? How about character? Can you fill me in on your knowledge there? How coachable are they? Are they good teamates?Have they ever required discipline? What is their attitude toward workout? Practice? FIlm Study?
You know, just give me that scouting report you are relying on.

Don't give me the "I thought we should have drafed such and such and I was right" or "that guy cant pick, look at that bust" unless you have a verifiable track record that we can take a look at and see how fine your long history of draft decisions has been.

Then do you feel you could do a better job then Matt Millen then? I have watched most of these guys drafted play. No I do not study hours of game film but that is an extremely faulty way of thinking. So are we then not allowed to give opions on draft picks then ever? Who are you to question he raiders taking Darius Heyward Bey 8th you arent a football mind. Myself personally I do mock drafts of guys I love rds 1-7 and I have been money for 5 yrs. Do I think I can be an upper echelon GM? No, I think I can be better then the bottom feeders like Buffalo, Oakland and Detroit who have no clue. Is that so impossible to believe?

Then do you feel you could do a better job then Matt Millen then?you come here to pimp your Jets versus the Pats...WTF does Matt Millen have to do with anything? And yes, I think, no check that, I KNOW Matt Millen has and still could do a far better job as an NFL G.M. than you, as bad as he was/is I have watched most of these guys drafted play.more BS...there's not enough time in ten people's lives to do what you claim...you saw some clips on NFLN...wow...impressive No I do not study hours of game film but that is an extremely faulty way of thinking.heh...yeah...that's why all 32 NFL teams do it and pour millions of dollars into it.Idiotic statement So are we then not allowed to give opions on draft picks then ever? have no idea what "opions" are but your opinion is like a certain part of your anatomy...everyone has one...in your case it's blowing hot, stinky air Who are you to question he raiders taking Darius Heyward Bey 8th you arent a football mind. Myself personally I do mock drafts of guys I love rds 1-7 and I have been money for 5 yrs.yeah,right...me? I'm 6'4",blond haired, blue eyed, body of an Adonis with a stock portfolio worth in excess of 100 million dollars.Gee, this is fun!!! Do I think I can be an upper echelon GM? No, I think I can be better then the bottom feeders like Buffalo, Oakland and Detroit who have no clue. Is that so impossible to believe?in your particular case, yes....that is IMPOSSIBLE to believe...maybe a job as a valet parking players Mercedes at the Meadowlands is within your grasp though...don't give up hope...dope

every season we get a "I'm way better than these NFL guys!!!!" excursion into fairy tale land....like clockwork
