So here we are. I don't think the value will be there at OLB/passrusher. I see us choosing between Odrick, a defensive back, Pouncey and trading down.

A) McClain, Morgan, JPP and Graham figure to be long gone. JPP isn't a fit for us in any case. We could trade up for McClain, Morgan seems much less likey, especially with his choice of Condon as agent.

B) Wide receivers Bryant and Thomas are now lkess likely with the signing of Holt.

B) Kindle is an option. There seems to be varying opinions regarding his value. He certainly isn't considered an all-pro candidate by many.

C) Hughes has put the mark of the beast upon him.

D) Weatherspoon excites some, but not others.

A) ya they probably will not be available...but i seriously doubt BB discredits someone cause of thier agent if BB likes a player and is able to pick him up he would

B)You never know maybe the Holt signing is a signing to help mentor a young immature reciever imagine Moss helping thomas with his WR skills and Holt helping him with his character issues

B) (you have 2 B's haha) But idk i like Kindle i think he will be a great player in our D

C) Read A

D)Eh hes a 4-3 player to me

i agree. Unless Morgan or Graham are there we will take another position. The 2nd round OLBs are good value between Norwood, Sapp, Misi, and maybe even Griffen. So take Odrick at 22 if he's there, but I'm leaning toward RB at the moment.

WE WILL NOT TAKE BRANDON GRAHAM, even if he is there. Hughes likely isn't more than a 4th round pick on their board. Same with Misi. He is too short. BB even said this last year after the Draft:

Q: Was there any disappointment at not landing an outside linebacker...Did you agree with [NFL Network Analyst Mike] Mayock that there was a lot of outside linebacker depth?

A: I'm not really sure. That's a good question. I think that the outside linebacker group was a little bit different this year. I mean, generally speaking, I think that there were more shorter players, maybe a little less speed than what we've seen, maybe a little more power with good production. There weren't a lot of 4.6, 4.65 [40 time] guys. There weren't a lot of 6-[foot]-4, 6-[foot]-5 guys. I'd say it was a much smaller pool of those types of players.”

JPP, Kindle, Griffen, Sapp, and Dunlap come close to fitting the type of OLB that fits our system. Witten, Basped, Knicky are other guys who are in the 6'4 4.6ish range who can be had in rounds 5-7. One of those names will be a Patriot by weeks end. Graham, Misi, or Hughes will not. Let go of your binkies before it is too late.

with 3 picks in the 2nd round, the pats can afford to not go for need if the right guy slips to them.......

Is there any OLB/DE type in this draft that is not almost exactly like a player from a previous draft that BB passed on? No!

So why does BB change strtegy this year?

BB is what he is, a coach that likes veterans at the OLB spot.

I agree, as much as I love Graham I don't see us taking him. The only thing is, last year was so awful at the olb position, maybe BB lowered his expectations of body size, or maybe he's looking at guys like Greg Romeus and the ten other first round possibles at 6'6" in next year's draft.

You'll have to pull my binkie Brandon Graham from my cold dead hands.

He can be had for a small trade up which we can easily afford by trading our 1st and a 2nd for a 1st and a 3rd.

As much as I hate to say it, it's not gonna happen, sorry dude

What are the chances Hughes is stilll there in the 2nd round? I have seen some mocks with him fallen into the 2nd round. I'd be very happy if we could get him in the 2nd round, and with our 1st pick give Brady a weapon to throw too. The year we went perfect in the regular season we finished with 31 sacks for the season and tied for 14th in the league in terms of sacks. Our defense wasn't that good, our offense was just that much better than everyone else. And if you give Brady targets to throw too, he is going to put points on the board, and lots of points.

I would love to see Dez fall to us. I know he has some character concern, and I have read reports that question his football smarts, but I think he is going to be an elite WR.

22- Dez

Than move up with the 44th pick and maybe our 4th to get into the 30 range in get Hughes if he is still there. I wouldn't mind this sceniro one bit.

Sorry if this is stupid, just is what I would like to see happen.
