frankly the colts defense has made the difference here. they have shut down ray rice. the one thing we didnt do all day last week.

Just watched the first half. These are two teams playing at a high level. Let's not begrudge them that.

Yeah, those refs are playing at an exceptionally high level. Polian has trained them well.

Well, it looks like the Chargers will once again play the Colts at home in the playoffs, if the first half is any indication of how things will turn out. With that in mind, I would like to re-hash an excellent post made by Keegs before the Chargers-Colts divisional game in '07...

This should be an exciting game. I can't wait to watch it and rip apart everything that every player does b/c i hate everyone that's playing. I can't wait. I"m going to complain about everything, and closely watch and document how many calls the Colts get that they shouldn't be getting. I'm going to start a thread about it actually......

But what this really comes down to, is if Tony Dungy has enough Quiet Strength to outmatch the Class of the Chargers

Has there ever been and will there be a better QB than Peyton Manning ? He is in league of his own. He is doing it without the running game.

Anyone else notice Harbaugh flipping out on the sideline about how the incomplete pass at 0:09 only took 2 seconds off the clock? Seemed fishy washing it live too, anyone with a DVR know if they ran that clock correctly?

It was more than fishy. The ball had been snapped, Peyton dropped and set, and WRs already in the end zone before the clock started. They got a good 2 or 3 extra seconds.

That's funny. Listening to people around here after that game, one would have thought that we played shutdown defense on Rice and McGahee outside of one play.

Haha. "He missed."

You mean...calling pass interference when the receiver is interfered with?

And calling helmet-to-helmet when the defender hits the receiver on the helmet...with his helmet?

The ball was snapped at :11. The ball hit the ground while the :08 was still there. The clock stopped at :07. I think the clock may have been slow to start. Pretty sure it took more then a second for the clock to go to :10.

The Colts have stopped Ray Rice. They haven't turned over the ball. And circumstances *cough* *cough* favor them. Surely they'll win?

I hate to say this but it is clear Peyton is a machine and has been all year.

Without Peyton the Colts are an average team..

I think when Brady is fully healed next year he will have an MVP season !!!

Brady will definitely be better with a year of playing time under his belt and (hopefully) a reliable WR3.

Oh ok, I thought the play started with 9 seconds to begin with.

It is unlikely Brady will ever be a better passer than Manning. It is unlikely that Manning will ever be a better quarterback than Brady.

1 completion for -1 yard for Flacco since halfway through the 1st quarter.

Get the Ball to ma boy in space!

I enjoyed the unintended irony from Dierdorf after the TD just before the half. He prefaced another testimonial about Manning with "If you love this game and have a sense of history..."

We could have been watching a 16-0 team tonight if the Colts didn't intentionally skip out on "history."

Nice Rice.

Nice, a spark from the offense.

Ride the momentum of this drive right into the end-zone....false start. C'mon man.

The conspiracy theorists are out in force.

Was that interference against Wayne?

Yep.

Was that a helmet to helmet hit?

Yep.

Nope, just the observant wise guys are out in force.

Recently did an NFL team really go a whole season without an O Line holding penalty?

yep.

Did an NFL GM/Pres really assault a Jet employee?

Yep.
