OT: Ravens @ Colts game discussion (AFC Divisional Round)

I don't know if anybody said anything, but Jim Nantz/Phil Simms have not done a Colts game all season.

Don't worry, it'll be 24-3 soon, on the Ravens first possession, one of the refs is going to jump a route and pick Flacco, return it for a TD.

That was definitely a touchdown. But the Colts would have never scored if they hadn't gotten the extra possessions from the BS penalty.

The Colts get no special breaks. They actually managed to go to an entire season without committing defensive pass interference.

I REALLY HATE THE NFL has become such BS. Its like if the guy leaves his feet or tries to catch the ball you cant hit him. WTF was Ray supposed to do? Just let him catch it? His momentum is carrying him that way so there is no way he can stop himself.

I will not make the obvious hypothesis explaining why.

Good call IRWT

Thank you but it's not that hard when I already read the script ;) It was already decided that the NFL wants to hand precious Peyton another ring.

Last week, Randy Moss ran into a DB and was called for offensive pass interference.

This week, Reggie Wayne runs into a DB and the Ravens DB is called for defensive pass interference call.

Well done NFL, refereeing. Consistent as always.

Can this announcer wash Peyton's balls anymore than he does? It's like he's down on bended knee to have the privilege to wash Peyton's balls. LOL.

It was a legit penalty... helmet to helmet contact.

But what was BS was the 2 second 2nd down. That definitely was the home clock at work.

It IS consistent. If a Colt does it, it's not a penalty.

Post of the day, IMO.

I don't know if you saw it but Moss knocked him over.

I recall BB asking that same question a couple years ago when he was asked about a guy getting called for that.

If the WR can leave his feet to catch the ball, the defenders only option is to leave his feet to defend it but that is against the rules these days.

The rules need to be changed, He did not luanch himself at all he was defending himself.

It was helmet to helmet.

Really the point is I didn't have an issue with the PI call (even though I get a kick out of the universal "here we go...":) chant. The penalty on Lewis was BS. It's football....The receiver was not defenseless. The spirit of the rule were those situations where the reciever is stretched out on an overthrow and the DB lays him out. The play by Lewis happens all the time. What is he supposed to do? I wish the refs would just let the players decide the game, if there is no harm...no foul. You are not the show.

that call on ray lewis was total horse****

he in essence got flagged for playing great defense

what a ****** joke

The conspiracy theorists are out in force.

Was that interference against Wayne?

Yep.

Was that a helmet to helmet hit?

Yep.

It was not passer interference, it was a personal foul for the helmet to helmet.

Anyone else notice Harbaugh flipping out on the sideline about how the incomplete pass at 0:09 only took 2 seconds off the clock? Seemed fishy washing it live too, anyone with a DVR know if they ran that clock correctly?

Just watched the first half. These are two teams playing at a high level. Let's not begrudge them that.

I know Manning does everything immaculately, but I just learned that he can run a pass play, including scrambling around for 3 seconds, and only have the play take 2 seconds! What an amazing human being!!!

People had a coronary about the hometown scorekeeper at the end of the first half in the regular season Pats-Ravens game, but not so much as a peep about it from this booth in this game... asinine...
