Who do you want us to draft?

Might as well look ahead to the next thing, right?

And since i'm sure most of us don't scout and grade players from every team across the country, how bout you enlighten the rest of us on some players that you think are realistic prospects and would be a good fit for this team's needs. All i can do is point out some players that i'm quite familiar with.

As a Longhorn fan, I think either Sergio Kindle and Jordan Shipley would be excellent for this team. Sergio is a disruptive, athletic OLB/DE type pass rusher. Jordan is a solid WR with great hands, and always seems to make big plays on 3rd down. I see Sergio going in the mid/late first round, and Jordan going somewhere in the middle rounds.

Of course, since Texas was just on the biggest stage in college football, im sure everyone here is quite familiar with these two, so im not really helping.

So, who else would be good?

Use the extra amount of picks to acquire talented vets who are still young and are beasts.

Tim Tebow so they can either turn him into a linebacker or run the wildcat.

We are currently slated to draft #22 and somewhere around #42, #45, #54 and #118 in the first 4 rounds.

What I'd like:

1. Re-sign DT Vince Wilfork, CB Leigh Bodden, and OG Logan Mankins (or tender him as an RFA) in FA. There are other important FAs to address, but those are the most important ones. I want to use the draft to upgrade talent, not backfill losses in FA.

2. Sign UFA ILB Karlos Dansby to play SILB next to Mayo and provide veteran leadership in the middle. Rolando McClain is my #1 prospect for the Pats, but trading up will cost a lot and Dansby is the next best thing, plus a veteran presence which could be very valuable. Arizona will almost certainly be forced to let him become a UFA because they've already tagged him twice.

3. Trade #42, 45 and 120 to Atlanta for #19 and #83. Atlanta has no 2nd round pick. Their biggest need is at CB, and with Joe Haden long gone at #19 there's no one else worth taking. In a deep draft, Tom Dimitroff could pick up 2 solid prospects including a CB at 42 and 45.

4. Draft RB CJ Spiller at 19 and DE/OLB Carlos Dunlap at 22. That way we'd get 2 blue chip playmakers, one of offense, and one on defense. Spiller is the best offensive playmaker in the draft, and Dunlap has the size/speed and athleticism to be another McGinest. DT Terrance Cody and OT Brian Bulaga are other options.

5. Draft the best available OG at #54. One of Vlad Ducasse, Gabe Carimi, Maurkice Pouncey and Mike Johnson should be available or within reach.

6. Take a developmental prospect with #83 such as DE/OLB Austen Miles or OT Jared Veldheer. Ideally, trade Adalius Thomas to someone for a 3rd round pick and get both.

DeMeco Ryans, Houston Texans (26)
Ryans has been a stalwart for the Texans, displaying consistency from game-to-game and year-to-year. With rookie sensation Brian Cushing next to him, the Texans have the beginnings of a good front 7. Ryans would like a long-term contract with the Texans, and Houston will almost definitely re-sign Ryans to keep intact the foundation of Ryans-Cushing-Williams front 7. If the two sides can’t reach a deal, there’s a chance he would be willing to accept a deal elsewhere.

I think the Pats should grab a young playmaking RB. They will be picking late in the first too, so maybe they will package their pick and try to move up to get Wooton from Northwestern....they need to fill Seymour's spot.....

Every year i pick the biggest RB in the draft and put him on my board.

As long as we re-sign Wilfork and Bodden, I'm fine.
A) I like teh idea of your trade up to get two blue chippers at 19 and 22. I'm fine with your two choices. I would also include Cody and McLain as options. I would not include an OT, unless you think he is a potential probowl RG. My concern is that blue chippers may not be available ar 19 and 22.
B) I don't think we can afford to wait until 54 for our starting OG.
C) I'm fine with a developmental player at 83 but I think we need a second OG. After all, we will likely have neither Mankins nor Neal for 2011.

I like the idea but I dont like Carlos Dunlap @ 22. Its really a big risk because while Dunlap has the size and possibly the speed and athleticism to play in space he is known to be lazy and he cannot set the edge. Leion Washington, Ted Ginn, linebackers, a good cornerback, a great punter, new defensive, DB, LB, DL, OL and special teams coach, the whole shabang. I wish we could trade Moss for Washington and something, maybe even straight up, leon would make a great replacement for Faulk when he retires, if he does! Faulk is Superman, and so is leon, otherwise try and get Ward for cheap! He was amazing with the Giants 2 years ago/

Karlos Dansby with Mayo would be great too.
