I would have gladly sacrificed it though for a trip to the Super Bowl.
Positive thoughts right now:
-Brady will be Brady again next season.
-Our defense will get A LOT BETTER, with more experience.
-A very deep draft is coming, where we have a lot of picks.
-The injuried ones will get healthy again.
-We won't have to be nervous for the rest of the playoffs and enjoy the playoffs
I don't have AIDS.
Lots of negatives today....LOTS.
BUT. The play of Edelman was inspiring and I was glad to see at least one Patriot playing for a longer post season stay.
I honestly don't understand this talk of a Patriots decline over the past few years. It's damn near impossible to be dominant for that long a period, and it's expected that teams turn over personnel and work through some tougher times. Can you imagine not winning a playoff game since 1996? (until yesterday of course). If we can re-sign Ghost & Wilfork, we have a nucleus of players that will guarantee success for future years. We should be proud of what's been accomplished and get pumped for what should be a promising 2010.
Jesley Wedelman will lead us to the promised land!
this team is an offensive coordinator away.....
I wonder how someone can single out AD in a debacle like this
the ravens generated 17 points in the 1st quarter on 42 yards of offense, courtesy of repetitious stupidity of brady and whoever was calling the player
You call that positive? As the boos continue to rain down on the home team, it's hard to imagine this team adding a fourth Super Bowl title any time soon.
*Better draft pick after loss (the classic post-playoff loss silver lining) + three second round 2010 draft picks
*The 2010 season may be uncapped and as mentioned in this post the NFL rules for the 8 final teams regarding free agency would be extremely restrictive. If next season is uncapped, the Patriots will now have an advantage over those eight teams in free agency.
*Tom Brady "rehab" year is now over. 17 games under his belt since the injury. Mentally very beneficial and he has been able to go through the grind of a full NFL season (+1) once again.
*We won another AFC East division title, any season that ends in a division title is something to take pride in. I'll be adding the 2009 AFC East title hat to my display collection soon.
Question: We lost and the Jets won this week. Does that mean we'll be picking before the Jets, even if they lose next week?
