OT: Late Games (Jets/Colts, etc...) discussion

If we try this move, we will not hear the end of it on espn. The arrogance ...etc

Would they rather Manning come in, get hit below the knees, tearing a knee out?

I thought they were booing Painter's performance. If they are booing the team/coaching staff, then I agree with you.

I wouldn't expect Hoyer to come in and light things up, but if he coughs up a TD soon as he steps on a field then a quick 3 and out I'd be pissed.

The Colts, in a stunning turn of events, got away with blatant pass interference.

That was PI on Lacy for grabbing Braylon. Only in Indy;)

If Jets hold on and beat Indy, then beat Cincy next week, they're in the playoffs, no matter what else happens, according to Gumbel and Dierdorf.

Re: Late Games (Jets/Colts, etc...) discussion

if the fans are upset they should be upset with the coaching staff and not a 3rd stringer who looks like a deer in headlights

How do you know the fans aren't booing the coaching staff?? Is there a different kind of boo? I don't think the boos are for painter as much as the coaching staff IMO

If the Jets win will Ryan still start the press conference by stating they're not going to make the playoffs?

This just makes no sense really.

I could see pulling Manning if he was getting smacked around a lot, but he's gone essentially untouched.

What was the point of playing him last week the entire game in a game that meant nothing to the playoffs just to pull him in the 3rd in this game?

It seems like Caldwell just has no plan whatsoever. If they're going to rest him, then why leave him in against Jax? If they're going to play him and go for it, why put Curtis Painter in with such a slim lead?

Completely senseless one way or the other.

And, in other breaking news, water is wet, the sun rises in the east, and dog bites man.

I will give them a free pass on this. I think in 2007, we would have booed if Belichick pulled Brady and the starters in week 16 in a close game. Especially when they have the Bills next week with Brian Brohm as their starting QB. It is really disapointing to see a perfect season slip away because a coach's decision to pull the starters.

i wouldve pulled manning after one series ..wouldve been much easier. they pulled him with the game on the line which can piss any fan

Eh...makes me want to strap on a tnt vest and hop on a flight to indy...

Is the fix in? Shall America see another 1 point win for the Colts. Everyone knows if that was Reggie Wayne and not Braylon Edwards of the Jets it would of been called.

Why CBS is still showing Broncos-Eagles to half of the nation is beyond me.

3pts ... all this is doing is setting up for a Manning come from behind win ... again.

I think I will vomit if Manning comes back in just for 1 drive at the end and leads them to a 1 point victory.

This is such a PR nightmare for the Colts if they don't win
