Barstool Sports responds to an article by unabashed Dolphin homer Amando Salguero in the Miami Herald. Armando didn't think it was nice that at the end of yesterday's game, the scoreboard operator at Gillette flashed a picture of Porter with his stats for the day. There was no comment by Porter, who "was as invisible on the field as he was afterward in the locker room, when he bugged out without talking to reporters. Facing the opportunity to match up much of the game against a backup rookie left tackle making only his third career start, Porter whiffed."

Excellent five star post. :D

Anyone notice how it's always the losers who lecture about class? Whining about 'class' in football is the last line of defense for someone who knows that they don't have a legitimate leg to stand on. "Yeah, my team lost, and completely sucked, but at least they lost with class".

what? nothing from the Miami Sound Machine?

Can we create a 6 star option for this?

Let me lead in by saying Joey Porter is an idiot who really needs to keep his mouth shut. He really hasn't made an impactful play since he sacked Sean Hill on 4th and 5 to end the 49ers game last season during the winning streak. However, while I agree winning the game and shutting him up is sweet from a New England perspective if anyone thinks Joey Porter's comments motivated New England to be able to beat Miami (a team with no WR's who can catch) in essentially a 7 point game doesn't think too highly of the Patriots. Seriously if you go up and down the rosters do you think, well Miami is better but their OLB really pissed off the Patroits which motivated them to victory. I seriously doubt that. Also, Porter has a lot of stat less or weak statistical games. His role in Miami has pretty much been one dimensional as a pass rusher which I find odd because I thought he was a decent all around OLB in Pittsburgh, but that's neither here nor there. The Patriots are a better team than Miami, that's why the won the game, but the gap is closing which from the perspective of a Miami fan is pretty cool considering this was a one win team just 2 seasons ago.

Barstool needs to take a photo closeup of Joey's butt and post it in their "Guess That Ass" contest. Think about it.

LOL that's fantastic!

5 stars for the picture alone.

Armando misses the boat. Only Porter's face would have been shown, even if teammates had similar goose eggs. This was more than ribbing a vanquished opponent. This was ribbing a certified richard.

Regards,
Chris

This is great stuff, Porter the biggest chicken in sports. Be a man a face up to what you said since he couldn't back up anything on the field.

So sad that he feels that way. Porter should just be happy that he is in the NFL. Keep talking Joey, it seems to only work on loud mouth teams that you play.

in essentially a 7 point game

Whatever gets you through the day. The Pats had one 3rd quarter drive and scored an easy touchdown. Once they had a 7 point lead in the 4th quarter, they were fully comfortable burning time and making the Fins drive the length of the field. The only way the Fins were coming back was for the Pats to turn the ball over and give them a defensive score or a short field.

The Fins played about as well as they could with their coaches caring more about being "innovative" rather than "winning". Maybe if they let Henne play like they did in the first Jets game, the Pats may have had to take them seriously in the 4th quarter.

this is very SMUG.... I love it:)

This is Porter from Price's article:

“We didn’t get this one, but now we've got to focus on what it takes to get to 4-5. This is another setback we’ve got to take, and get over. We won 11 games last year, and a lot of them in the second half. We just have to do that again. All we can do is get ready for Tampa."

What struck me is that he is still talking about winning eleven games last year. Are the Dolphins still hanging their hats on their division win? You would think Parcells would have made them "0-0" t-shirts for training camp, or do you have to win the Superbowl to get those t-shirts?

So now the team that tries to score 100 points a game, according to Tom Brady, wasn't trying to score anymore. Good one.

See what happens when they turn to Henne, open WR's can't catch.

Why don't you leave and come back in 4 weeks when your team has 'another chance' to redeem themselves

Oh, and say "Hi" over at Fins Haven to Aqua a.k.a. Wide Receiver who's mysteriously MIA after each Phins debacle.

The Pats play to win. I know that must seem unusual to you, but it does happen. Once they got to mid-field, they weren't going to take any chances on 3rd down so they played conservative.

Ginn can't catch. The rest of the team catches just fine. Maybe if the coaches didn't pull their QB after every 1st down completion, Henne could get in a rhythm and show you.

Outside of Porter, I actually like the players on the Fins (which hurts me to say). I think Henne could develop into a stud QB if given a chance. With Henning around trying to prove his "genius" and the media playing along, Henne will never reach his potential.

Gaps close and then expand. That's what gaps do.
