Another thing, has anyone noticed how many commercials on tv show teams scoring on the Pats lately? There's every DirecTV commercial for sunday ticket, the gatorade commercials, there's a canon commercial, that Sprint ad, it's all part of it, they WANT us to be the bad guys and they feed this constantly to the general public who lap it all up like good little dogs.

I don't even get bothered by the things Porter says anymore. I've come to expect it...he's a clown.:D

Actually, yes, I did notice that in these commercials. I've tried not to ascribe any sinister motives to it lest I be in danger of joining the tin-foil hat brigade, but since you've noticed too, I just might start...:help:

It's not any sinister conspiracy theory, it's pretty simple. The common element amongst all NFL fans is that they hate the Pats. Anyone who works in advertising in a big corporation is sure to recognize that and pander to it.

I saw a Samsung TV ad that featured play after play of Giants beating Pats. Since I have 2 DVRs it's the rare ad that I see so there must be tons of this stuff. Frakin pathetic.

Joey Porter talking?
Who'd a thunk it!!

It's so funny (or maybe not so funny) you (and others) should say this, because I always mutter to myself, "Jesus, why do they always show people scoring on the Pats in these commercials?" Never even thought about this angle. Guess I am slow on the uptake.

holy sh!t, I can't believe they allowed this crap on NFLN.. that is supposedly an impartial network. I thought this crap was coming from the wire, but apparently came from NFLN.

me 4,

LOL, but we could prob get reliable stats on this type of stuff, haha

and now they moved it on to the nba, w/ kobe handling the celts

I don't understand why anyone cares what he has to say.

1. He is barely able to speak the English language
2. He is a grown man who goes by "Joey"
3. He is such a tough guy he needs 6 of his buddies to beat up someone he has a beef with making him a world class pu**y.

Joey thinks the Patriots cheated him out of two AFC championships. Has he ever explained how the 2002 Patriots could have had film of the Steeler's signals when they hadn't played the Steelers since 1998 pre-Belichick?

porter seems to be the only a-hole in the nfl who still talks about spygate. maybe he can go share a bedroom with that douche keith olbermann who seems to be the only other jizzbag making comments about it. that **** was two years ago, get current.

Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!

Apparently the Patriots hired guys to sit in the stands filming during Steelers games even when the Patriots weren't playing them (I'm dead serious, this is what a Steelers fan told me after I asked him that very same question).

That was one moron, but most people usually shut up when you bring up that point about the Patriots not having even played them under Belichick before the 2001 AFC title game. Plus, the Patriots won that game on special teams anyways. I think Bill Cowher even said so.

Yeah, the Pats stole signals to beat the Steelers. Lol.

2004 AFC Championship

Pats first score - 48 yd field goal. Short drive starts in Steelers' territory after a Big Ben interception. The only play that gains positive yardage on the drive is the first play reverse to Branch; it is documented on the DVD that they had decided to start the game with that play at least a day earlier.

Pats 1st touchdown - long pass to Branch. This comes on the first play after the Pats stop the Steelers on 4th and 1. There was no defense signaled in, because the defense got their assignment on the sideline as they came on to the field. Watching the play, you could also see that Branch was Brady's 2nd or 3rd read.

Pats 2nd touchdown - short pass to Givens. Givens beats the corner 1 on 1 after the guy stumbles and falls down. Clearly the Pats intercepted a signal that he would be falling down on the play and chose the play accordingly.

Pats 3rd touchdown - interception return by Harrison.

So at halftime the Pats had 24 points, NONE of which could have possibly benefited from video taping the Steelers defensive signals.

But keep whining, Joey, it just makes you look stupid(er).

Porter's a dimwit. The problem with saying outrageous crap so often is that it eventually loses its impact and gets dismissed as WWF-style bluster that no sane person can take seriously enough to care.

BTW, how did knowing signals get the Pats to get two special teams TDs? The Pats scored 10 points on offense in that game. They won on defense and special teams. When they met in the AFC Championship game in the 2004 season, knowing the Steelers defensive signals didn't cause the Steelers' offense to turnover the ball 4 times either. It also played no bearing in Rodney's 87 yard INT for a TD.

Porter is too dumb and bitter to realize these things. If the Pats only beat the Steelers on offense, then he might have a point. The AFC Championship game in the 2001 season was a win despite the offense. The one in the 2004 season was a whole team beatdown.
