Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

I dont get why people are jumping on the Tate-will-be-active bandwagon. No question the guy has a ton of talent, but he hasn't practiced. He hasn't had snuggle time with Brady. He wasn't in preseason. Oh and he suffered a major knee injury about a year ago....

Agree, I think its more likely that Nunn is active this week than Tate. I'd be really surprised if Tate is on the active 45 before week 10 or 11.

Guess there just wasn't a trade market for him.

Good luck, Joey. You had a great career. Too bad things didn't work out here.

But there was interest so cutting him now might be FO is assuming him landing somewhere potentially more beneficial to us short term than if some winless or sub .500 team we yet face or a certain .500 team we face once more grabs him off the waiver wire...

Baltimore wanted him but not sure if they would be trumped in a waiver claim. And it could be someone outside the AFC was interested as well although not willing to cough up comp.

I wonder if they cut him early to also deny somebody like Mangini the option of claiming him.

I meant will be active off pup; not necessarily active on game day. In fact I'd put the odds of him catching more than 10 passes this year at 5%

Good point, Mo.

He should not let the door hit his back side. Good Riddance.

According to a Seahawks fan I work with, Galloway was a ****y who wouldn't block and didn't like to go across the middle.

Branch anyone?

I could've told you that having watched two games.

Concerning the FALSE report that Galloway had signed with the Bucs, didn't we find out earlier this year that a team cannot sign a player the week that they are playing that team?

Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Unfortunate but not surprising.
